Alanson, don't be daunted.
Through your career as a writer, I'm sure you've heard and read all sorts of criticism for the quality of your writing. There are many I'm sure, that write awful things just for the sake of saying awful things. Then there are some that may hit harder than most, because their harsh criticisms reflect what you secretly think about your own creativity. Then there are some people who say really mean things disguised as constructive criticism. Don't let them discourage you.
I sure you already know this, but you have an impressive following of people who love your work, no matter what you write. Perhaps because I am one of them, that I say I will buy and consume any work you have for the rest of this series. Your character development and narrative is funny, intriguing, and worth every second I spend getting to know these characters,
I don't know how much one opinion matters, but I just want you to know that you have my support. Please, take your time. Hash it out. Give us an ending worth the wait. We're rooting for you Craig.
P.S. That cliff hangar was really concerning. Please don't go all Showrunners for Game of Thrones on us.

I think my heart stopped!
The series is great and I love it...but the ending for the last 2 books have seriously made me mad. I had to look up if this was the last book or not. Supposed to be 5 more books, I can't wait to see them. Joe needs to punt a beer can.

Killed it as I've come to expect!
This was another amazing entry in the Expeditionary Force series. Yet it is also one of the hardest to accept it ended. The book was awesome and a must have for anyone that has listened into the series already. I'm not willing to give anything up but I will say that I do not know how I'm going to manage until book 10 comes out

Paradigm shift
If you’ve been following the series from the beginning it’s pretty much been a constant evolution of Skippy and the Merry Band of Pirates. There’s been some drama but it’s pretty much business as usual. You had to start suspecting after 9 books that a paradigm shift would occur or the series dissolve into obscurity. Well here it is! I personally believe that the pendulum will swing back in the beginning of the next book for a few reasons, but I’ll wait and see with everyone else. I can’t imagine the next book will be long in coming. A lot of fans wouldn’t return after this book if it didn’t come soon. Just enjoy the book and wait for the next one.

Loved it! And a SURPRISE!
Another great book in a great series. Alanson has done a nice job keeping the story fun and fresh. And now, a new wrinkle that really surprised me...in a good way.
Loved Bray’s performance. Really liked the bloopers after the book...more books should finish that way.
