Kinda boring

It's a story about a magical space assassin who is also a vampire, he succeeds at everything he does without struggle or difficulty. If he's not already good at something, it takes him about 5 minutes to become a master at it. It's really quite boring and reads like someone's self insert fanfiction. The overall story is fine, but the plot twists aren't very surprising.

Like an old friend telling you a story!

I really liked Eric Moore's style in storytelling and character adaptation. He was consistent throughout and very very easy to listen to. He really just made me feel like I was sitting around a couple of nights worth of campfires listening to this tale he took part in.
Scott Baron wrote an excellent story that is really enjoyable to hear. I imagine I also would have enjoyed reading this series and waiting on the next book to come out. To me it sort of is a mix of Assassins creed and Star wars with the force. Magic is pretty much the explanation for everything including space travel. It is like a sci-fi/action/fantasy you can easily follow and yearn for more. It is 44 hours long, but you can easily break it up into parts to get through the epic. Enjoyed!

Outstanding just outstanding!!!

This has been the best story that I've listened to in a very very long time. I just hope I can find another just as good.

Repetitive

The story line was good but super drug out, like the writer had to fill extra space and make a 5 book series but if he had taken out some the the excruciating detail and repetitive sentences/conversation, it could have been a 3 book series.

The performance was great by the narrator and I was happy with how it ended but it sure took FOREVER to get there.

A very good, gritty but somehow still wholesome spinoff to Star wars and Assassin's Creed

Good series to read

There are many twists and turns, and more than a few surprises in this series. The author does a fantastic job of character building and you grow fond of each character as they move around the galaxy crisis after crisis.

Magical space vampire assassins, but damn good

So everything being run by magic was weird at first, and I had to listen to the first two chapters twice to be able to get into the feel of the first book. After that? I was hooked.

Excellent character build-up, use of tropes, and plot twists. I was able to sort-of-kind-of predict the ending, but even then the how and why had me pleasantly surprised because I had not predicted that.

When I started this 5 book series I wasn’t sure that it was my cup of tea. But still on after, I was hoping hooked! My only complaint by book 5 is was that there is no book 6. Scott and Eric please give us more of a great series.

Great story But poor writing

The voice performance is actually great and really well done, the overall story is good but the writing method and style is seriously lacking. The scenes are written in a really vague and unsatisfying manner. What should be an epic fight scene is summed up in three sentences and done with very little to no actual detail of what happened or how someone did something. The author is also excessively over redundant in repeating minor story details, yes for the 50th time we know he’s a master assassin. It also feels like half of the second book is just repeating what happened in the first book.
The only value here is getting 5 books with 1 credit if you are desperate for hours of content.
