Publisher's summary

If you’ve ever been so pissed off that you did things that you regretted, or ruined your own day and some other people’s, too, this book is for you. Or if you feel angry every single day and it’s affecting your health and sleep and love of life. Or if you have very good reasons to be mad as hell, and you aren’t going to take it anymore. Or if you’ve repressed your anger all your life and now it’s all coming out at once. Microcosm Publishing best seller Dr. Faith explains here what the hell is going on in your brain and how to retrain yourself to deal with enraging situations more productively and without torpedoing your relationships.

Unf*ck Your Anger gives you a heady dose of neuroscience and cultural explanation of what anger is and what it does to you, and then gives you a handy four-step checklist to help you deal with maddening situations after (or before) the fact, guidance on getting over things, and a chapter on forgiveness. Your brain actually knows what it’s doing, and anger can be a good thing sometimes - just not if it’s ruining your life.

Wonderful presentation of information

I personally didn’t need the regular f-bombs but the information and storytelling was wonderful. I just finished it and I’m about to start it again.

Great info would rather hear author read.

After listening to Unfuck Your Brain, having to listen to an actor took away from the experience. So many times listing to this book, I found myself focused on the fact the author wasn't reading instead of the actual information.

Yes, and

I’ve spent several productive months in anger management therapy and this was a fantastic supporting piece for that work.

Are you in my brain Doc?

This book was excellent in opening up my eyes to a few new things that I never really thought of when it came to my anger. What am I feeling? Where is this coming from? Those questions resonated well with me because I never thought to ask myself them. Add that with a straight forward talk (text) full on with how I’d speak at times, you’ve got my attention. It was worth the listen

Easy read, with lots of extra work

I took so many notes, very much looking forward to discussing some of the topics in therapy.
