This was my first F/F romance novel and I was enthralled from start to finish. What a great story!

Omg, I loved this Bully read!
This is my first FF Romance and it was an amazing experience.
The Characters were real and raw.
The whole story was so enraptured and it just pulls you in. I felt for every single one of them.
The duty, the loyalty, the struggle , the elation, the pain, the intimacy, the devastation, the heartbreak, the joy... all the feels.
A Stunning read.

The Narration was All-around Perfection!!!

All the tension and yearning

Clay is the popular princess of Senior Year; she’s rich, pretty, and everyone wants her or wants to be her. Olivia is from the *other side of the tracks*. She is also “out” and Clay doesn’t even know that she is gay, but there’s just something about Olivia that she can’t stay away from.

The yearning, the tension, the drama. This book has it all. And when the tension finally pops. 😮‍💨

This one reminded me a bit of 𝘗𝘶𝘯𝘬 57, a bully romance set in high school by the same author, so if you enjoyed that one, I bet you’ll also enjoy this one.

I’m finding that out of all romance settings, high school probably isn’t my favorite, which might just be my *age* talking 👵🏻, but it’s sometimes fun to walk the halls of schools that are frankly nothing like mine were. 🤣

I enjoyed both of the narrators in this one. I was a little worried having two female narrators (dual narration) might get confusing, but they both had quite unique voices, and I never had trouble deciphering who’s POV I was listening to.

If you’re part of the LGBTQ community or not and are looking for a good read this a book for you. The way she captures the feelings and everyday occurrences for those in the community is amazing! I loved the way you could almost visually see Clay’s and Olivia’s character from the start! Highly recommend!

Tryst Six Venom

I had never heard of this book or the author but when I read the reviews I just had to give it a chance. Recently I’ve found many offerings in F/F romance to be unfortunately boring, most of them more of the same. I can promise you THIS book veers off the beaten path. It’s so good! I can easily see it being turned into a very entertaining movie. It’s edgy, even a bit nihilistic at times. I was basically the equivalent of that Michael-Jackson-gleefully-eating-popcorn gif the whole time as I watched these people and their addictive tomfoolery unfold.

From page one Liv was easy to love, but at first I really could not see how I could ever like Clay. Even halfway through the book I was doubtful that the author was going to make her redeemable to me, even if she was fascinating. But in the end her character arc was so well done that I liked her a lot, warts and all.

The relationship between Liv and Clay was straight-up toxic at first, I’ll be honest. But the way it develops and the love they have for each other is…well, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a love story like theirs, I’ll say that. And I mean that in the best way.

The secondary characters are all VERY well done and complicated in their own ways as well, which was a textured and unexpected delight. The issues of classism (with a hint of racism) that permeated every interaction between them were also unexpected, but not unwelcome. It was all handled with a deft hand.

This one will be a re-listen for sure, and this author has a new fan. The narration was great too. Outstanding audiobook all around!

Amazing!!!!

This is a story Penelope was meant to write! every single minute of it was pleasure to my mind and ears. I’ve never read a to a FF romance but I’m here for it!!!

UNIQUELY DIFFERENT A WLW ROMANCE!

I've read alot of lesbian romance & lesbian light erotica with an actual storyline. so I'm definitely one who doesn't shy away from some in depth sex scenes. & this book has some very steamy sex scenes! but I love how this book is different then most lesbian romances, not the typical age gap romance or the doctor & mentor, not the boss & assistant, or the Fire & ice turned domestic bliss. NO NON OF THOSE PLAYED OUT PLOTS! NOT THIS BOOK!
It's A uniquely decrepitive story line of two young women with a dynamic that reads like it's a made connection from God! that's how strong the two characters intertwine! this book is something every avid wlw reader should read! WORTH THE PURCHASE! New & fresh subject matter! a book that sucks you in from the start! A writing style that is amazing! And sex scenes so steamy & so hot! No fade to black scenes or the wait for the conclusion & end to get you HEA! either. more then the ONE & DONE! this book offers the perfect amount of sex & an actual engaging story to boot! I just wish this writer would dedicate more time to write more books with lesbian characters! because for WLW theres not alot of options besides the same old writers that might as well be just one writer nown since now all there books are pretty much the same regardless of there 1st couple books maybe being a hit. At some point they all become the same & their subject matter nothing new. SAME OLD AUTHORS like the Georgia beers, Radclyffe,JAE,benson,lacy,Braden,bliss,
haley cass,Zett and blah blah they are all the same old authors of the wlw world ...so if u want something new & different from all those Authors that have continuously released the same old subject matter. No matter the maybe little plot differences it's not really different but MORE OF THE SAME! all of those WLW Authors have turned into pretty much all the same! it sucks. SO if u want SOMETHING NEW THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU!! a must have!! A must read/listen! the Narrator made for this book & its a nice change from Abby Craden & Lori Prince. & all those main liners! SO IF U WANT NEW & DIFFERENT this is it! I just really hope this author gives us WLW fans some more thought & delivers more books! or at least maybe a sequel!? damn, just anythig more then this because this can't be it! I WANT MORE!! please, please, please give us WLW more books!! don't let this be the end. TO THE AUTHOR, I'LL BE WAITING & HOPING FOR MORE FROM YOU! give the lesbians of the world more to read thats unique.
I BELIEVE IN THIS AUTHOR! So I'll wait & wait no matter how long it takes! seriously jeez! for lesbians sake give us something good & gay to read again someday!!

Spec-effing-tacular

I never write reviews but felt compelled to share how amazingly enjoyable this audio book was. Awesome story, awesome narration, fantastic love story, steamy scenes were perfect. I listened to the last half of the book in small slices of time because I didn't want it to end. Please please please, write more F/F novels.

Better than Expected

I sat on this book for so long because I am not really info F/F, but I love Pen D. I put this on my January TBR because I needed to just get it done and listened to. I shouldn't have put this off for so long. I should have known that it would have been great being a Pen D book. The Angst, bullying and the reasons for the bullying are perfection. I was honestly afraid that I would hate this book, but it was the absolute opposite. I have now ready every book in Pen D's catalog with the exception of 1 book, because I am waiting for more from that series to come out before I dive in. I just wish this were a duet, because sometimes it is a little hard to follow who is saying what between the two females when these is banter or action.
