Worth reading

This book gives the key to what leadership is. It’s not about me being great, it’s about the ability to make a group realize they are great and realize life with all the opportunities is great

Best book ever

I would prefer faster narration, but the story is amazing. A must have to any manager

Know your tribe

Just because you have a tribe or work with one doesn't mean it's healthy. Good leadership book

Business advice that applies to life

Of all of the business improvement books I've read, this was hands down the most meaningful and inspiring. unlike most books that stretch an essay out over a hundred pages, this rather long book is full of substance.
I recommend this book to almost everyone I meet because it's wisdom applies to all relationships, even yours to life in general.

Moving to Stage 4

This book was recommended to me by Tony Hsieh and has exceeded my expectations. Tribal Leadership is a style that can not only be used in business, but in society as a whole. While the majority of the world exists in stage 3, it is because of this that people have a tendency to fall to stage 2, thinking "my life sucks." Unfortunately, the system we have in this age, starting from school focuses around us as an individual, but thanks to this book, I am putting forth a conscious effort to move into stage 4; instead of "I am great," transcend to "we are great."

Good info, so so audio experience

If you have time to read a physical book it would be a better option - you could easily skim the repetitive parts, and there are plenty of them. The examples were not particularly effective for me either. The research for their claims is described in an appendix, but don’t expect world class validation.

On the plus side, a lot of what they say makes intuitive sense. Shifting from a single person perspective to a group perspective, if you can move your ‘tribe’ to level 4, is a great concept that I would like to achieve. However, I think it is much easier said than done.

Useful information

Easy to spot information and analysis that can be used in any group of people, specially at work.
Narrator could have a better cadence, but at 1.2x works fine.

Great book, painful narration

Despite the great insights and lessons, it is very hard to stay engaged. The story is read the same way a parents reads a book to a kid during bed time. Whispering and very slowly.
I had the volume on max and speed at 1.2x to help it.. very disappointing
