While recovering from a failed marriage, Shannon Duncan wins the lottery. Buying a new car and wardrobe, she travels to what was supposed to be her and her husband Ken's retirement property.

Her plans take an unexpected turn after she hire a local Zuni contractor, Sam Sweetwater, to finish work for the cabin. As Sam and Shannon grow closer, trouble surfaces: Sam's mother is not happy about him having dealings with a foreign woman, as she has planned for him to run for governor.

Enjoyable

Audio Review
Both the author and the narrator are new me and I was excited to listen to Shannon Duncan and Zuni ( Sam) Sweetwater’s second chance at love.
Shannon finds herself winning the lottery and having her marriage fall apart all on the same day so she decides to run to the cabin that she was meant to be renovating with her ex husband. Looking to make this her new permanent home she soon realises she needs help with the renovation and that’s where Sam comes in. What follows is two people finding love and friendship when they least expected to.
I enjoyed this romance but at times I struggled with the narration and I have to say I struggled to relate to Sam’s mother but overall Tribal Law was enjoyable.

Entertaining

Both author Lori Beasley Bradley and narrator Kay Nazarchyk are new to me. This was an enjoyable story. This is a second chance at love story for Shannon Duncan and Zuni, Sam Sweetwater.
After winning the lottery and her marriage falling apart on the same day, Shannon escapes to the cabin she and her soon to be ex husband were planning to retire too. Knowing that if this is to be her permanent home she needs to renovate she calls in local contractor Sam to quote and do the renovations. Neither know that that decision is going to change both their lives.
As Shannon and Sam work together to finish the cabin they grow close. Not everyone is happy about that, particularly Sam’s mother who I really couldn’t stand. Although having said she did get a little better towards he end of the book.
I struggled with parts of this book and had some issues. The narration was okay but I did find my mind wandering on occasion. Perhaps if I had read the book rather than listening to it might have been better.

Good story, characters, and narration

Shannon was now on her own and trying to regain her life. She found herself in the middle of a legal issue and a new romance. She was a strong woman, kind and caring. Her heart turned to Sam who was a good man put in a hard place. He made his mistakes but stood by Shannon when it counted. It was a good story, though there was a lot of hate and cultural differences central to the story. Kay Nazarchyk did a good job with the narration of this audiobook as she give life to all the characters.

I was given this audiobook, and this is my unsolicited review.
