Different from first three in series

Trap 'N' Trace diverged as Dayne's K-9 partner took a backseat in this book. She didn't get to shine which ISD unfortunate and the reason that I'm reading this series. I can read mysteries without the expectation of K-9 partners and do. When I am reading a K-9 partner series, I expect the K-9 involved to have an active role not be relegated to playing mommy to a pup. This is the first female K-9 and it's ironic that those imitates real life.

As for the story itself, it felt like Tee O'Fallen was trying to branch out from her usual style with those series. It didn't flow with the others and that left me feeling a bit frustrated.

Not sure that I will continue with this series. Narrator was better in this book.

Really enjoyed this one

I really enjoyed this story! It pulled me in from beginning to end and was highly entertaining and interesting. I loved watching Kat show Dayne that she was different than what he expected because she had money. Their first encounter did not go very well, with Dayne being a jerk and the second time they meet is at a crime scene with Kat as a witness. It quickly becomes apparent that the killer is after Kat as well and so Dayne steps in as bodyguard/protection duty in order to keep safe while they figure out who the killer is. It forces them into close proximity and they get to know each other. They are both drawn to the other but try and avoid it for quite a while and Dayne is the bigger hold out. I loved watching Remy and Angus, FBI K-9 and puppy, and the antics they got up to as well. It was quite cute. This story had the intrigue and bits of action as we watched the two get closer and see things differently. I enjoyed the story a lot and am excited for the next one in the series.
Narrator did a good job with the story and characters.

Good book

I liked that there was more mystery than sex. I had a few timeline consistency issues but that doesn't stop me from recommending the book.

Awesome Series

I fell in love with the first book, Lock & Load and can't stop listening to each one in the series I open. Well written, great narrator, and intriguing to follow.

Loved it!

Great book with a good story and wonderful message. Even had great dogs included in it.

Murders and romance

This book has a romance on a bumpy road between people from "opposite sides of the track." The mystery involves multiple murders. I love the characters and the dogs. The narration is very good. It's an entertaining book.

I prefer to know ahead of time if there is going to be language issues’
