Kept my attention!!!

Loved it! Variety of narrative voices was great. The story kept you guessing and the ending left you wanting more. I was hoping for one more surprise and a reinvention of the main character but I do like that it ended without your typical happily ever after. A definite read.

Excellent book

What an absolutely great book. A page turner for sure. And wow, the ending! I never saw that coming. This is a must read (or listen to). Wow.

Damn good story line!!

I will say I was sad with the end but it was a damn good book!!

A Little Disappointing

This started out pretty good, suspenseful and intriguing. But as it continued it dragged on and on. Part of the problem is that I did not really like a single character at all, and none of them were very well developed. I think the narrator did a good job with the voices, but it was a special kind of cringeworthy torture to have to keep hearing the character’s inner thoughts. It did read more like YA than an adult suspense novel. And Kayla - oh my gosh, can someone just shut her up with her constant suspicions and snooping. And after all of those long hours of listening way past being so bored I almost did not care how it turned out, I did not even get the reward of a happy ending.

Brilliantly written!

As usual another hit by one of my favourite writers. I wondered how he was going ti get out of this one.

BUT the narrator... she did the voices brilliantly but just could not get going with the actual reading. it just didn't flow. It seems asif she just couldn't get into the story. It sounded stilted. I had to keep on remiding myself to ignore it. Eventually I upped the speed just to finish the book.

Great Story

Great build up with the switch between past and present. Kept me intrigued right up until the end.

Really got into this book

I was really impressed by this book. It was full of suspense and action. The author was very descriptive on all of the scenery and just on everything. It was an all-around good book. I give this book five stars!

Loved it to the last second. It was compelling and had so many twists and turns.
