It was okay

I wouldn’t recommend as it seems more like a religious book than a mystery. It also takes way too long to get into.

Predictable but entertaining enough

I was bored most of the time and predicted the ending halfway through. The narration was fine, but not very expressive or overly engaging. Oh and so much religion… I get it but there should be something in the description the emphasis Christianity, faith, healing etc. I felt like I was reading The Shack minus the SA - too many life lessons for something supposed to be entertaining.

LOOOOOVED this Classic Small Town Mystery

I listened to this audible all in ONE day. I was rooting for the main character the whole time. A woman with such intense sadness welling up inside her from life's unfair and unexpected changes decides to bravely come back to what had once been a place she had spent a fun and adventurous summer at Grandma's home as a young girl, has now become a place to find closure for herself and the people that had been left behind that Summer in the middle of a tragedy that she finds out one of her parents had seemingly horrifically taken to their grave. That tragedy in which the main character has begun to unearth bit by shocking bit might just end up destroying her and those she has come to know and love over these few Summer months back. A classic small-town mystery with amazing twists and turns and a load of emotions laid out on the table as each character tells their perspectives throughout the story. They come alive through every word and on every page turn, especially one tragically endearing character that has had 36 years of holding on to that heartache. Thank you Christina Suzann Nelson for this wonderful mystery! An enjoyable read that I just couldn't put down.

Cold case solved

I liked how the author “built” the story. It was beautifully read and easy to listen to.

So glad I purchased this

This was a very good story and the reader was good. I enjoyed it most for its lack of curse words. It talks about God, but if you’re one who is turned off by that, don’t worry. It’s done so beautifully. It makes God look respected without shoving him down your throat. I will look for this author again.
