Publisher's summary

The entire Wasteland Chronicles series

No one expected Ragnarok. The miles-wide meteor fell from the sky in 2030, taking most of humanity with it. The lucky ones took refuge in the Bunkers. The unlucky ones had to deal with the meteor's aftermath...and the alien virus it unleashed.

Now, that virus is evolving, creating an army of mutants and monsters, mixing Earth genetics with something...not Earth. As humanity struggles in the wastelands of what's left, it might already be too late...

...unless a band of young heroes can rise up, and fight.

Catching the stars!

Apocalypse #1 – Origins #2 – Evolution #3 – Revelation #4 – Darkness #5 – Extinction #6 – Xenofall #7
After a slow beginning, the story began to pick up speed, capturing my interest and imagination. I believe the turning point was when our adventurers journeyed to Nova Roma, “New Rome”, meeting Emperor Agustus. The action escalated to a whole new adventure. The main plotline of the Xeno Virus, the Great Blight, and the coming invasion of the Xenos’ came to fruition. The prior explanation of the bunkers and the backgrounds of the characters came together to make more sense, fitting in with the whole of the story. New and old characters, such as The Voice, Karen Black of The Reapers in Los Angeles, Marcus and The Exiles, Char and The Raiders, and The New Angels, gaining importance. The world was going to need fighters when Xenofall came. We receive a long explanation by The Wanderer, known as Askalon, about Xenominds, Elokia, and Radiskins. What remains is the familiar story of creation and the age-old battle of good versus evil; moral versus amoral. To stop the Radiskin, Eskowa, and the Xenomind, they would have to be infected with the Elokia virus. This plot arc remains throughout the rest of the series. I was confused by the oddity that a character was killed in one book, and reappeared in the next. Other than that, and the exceeding length of the series, it’s not a bad story if you can stay engaged. By the time of the conclusion, I was glad it had ended.

Wasteland

This series is so hard to put down. I and my son has read this twice and then have listeñed to the audible. It is an apocalyptic experience that is well worth the time to read or listen to. Well written sci-fi apocalypse

Kyle West is a genius!

I don't know how you could have thought all of this up but Kyle West I tip my hat to you! Exquisite rendering of an apocalypse story unlike any I've ever heard and I love anything apocalypse! What an awesome story and with an ending that not only made sense but didn't make you hate the author for ending it like so many of the books I've read! from beginning to end the character development was so great that I felt as is the characters were my friends and no matter what happened to them if it was something dire my heart dropped thinking about it. it was a story that was so well told you were able to put yourself into the excitement and adventure and sometimes even heartbreak! All in all the only words to describe how I feel about this series is Damn bro you nailed it Kyle West!

ending sucks

As much as I always cheer for an unexpected ending. I knew after 3rd book I predicted the ending and was disappointed the boss battle was so short. story was read well but ending was abrupt

Wanderer Dragon

Seemed very long and as such seemed told and retold. Alex and Anna were perfectly cast and the re-iteration of their relationship was incomplete with each version and I felt unworthy peering into their intimacy. Yet it came to pass that I began to dread the telling and retelling of the current and future threats created during the big bang birthing of our existence. Every rehash at each stage of our unsurviveable plight and the requirment to expound endlessly of our failure to understand our fate much less the inevitability of our collective demise often felt like fluff, filler, if you will. StarWars meets the Wizard of Oz, cool! but ultimately the unknown became obvious due to the constant required plot synopsis. 53 hrs, wow! Could've said it all in 40 hrs and wouldn't have given away the hero being a no show at the end BUT did manage to leave Anna something to remember him by.

Best series

I love the series but I wish it was longer, more books. I've read a few of the sequel books still good.

For younger readers

Great story and well written however geared more towards adolescent and younger readers. The audio is great and the narration is clear. Overall a good read.
