Captivating
Charlotte Pennyworth is a young widow just coming out of mourning and reentering the social scene. She hires Elliot Baker, a private investigator, to find whoever is leaving some rather disturbing gifts at her door. The investigation becomes more dangerous, and they spend a lot more time together. Even though they resist the feelings, they are falling in love. Will it become more when the mystery is solved? Will a secret from Charlotte’s past keep them apart? Mystery, suspense, action, danger, secrets, and romance blend together to make this a captivating story. Excellent narration by Karen Cass.
