Better to read than listen to

This was hard to listen to as an audiobook. A lot of reference info that you may want to skip over/read on paper briefly vs having every single thing read to you. Way too technical and not an easy/enjoyable listen.

Good information, but overly technical

Information was helpful overall, but the most important points are lost in heavy technical jargon. Fortunately, the main takeaways are reviewed at the end of each chapter. The reader's voice is monotonous and robotic which made it even more difficult to focus on the content.

Great Book

Love the information, I have known for a while sugar not salt was the real problem with health and heart disease. Great recipes at the end with what to look for and what to stay away from.

Great info

Very good information. Well written and read. A lot of what we already know but don’t follow. I loved all the information on thyroid disease and Hashimoto. Extremely useful I will be taking it to my doctors office.

Great information

This book was great. Super informative. I highly recommend this book if your trying to have a better relationship with food. I’ve read a couple health books this is my favorite so far.

Great book full of info but no PDF file

This book was great, full of info but referred to the accompanying PDF multiple times and there is no PDF to be found anywhere on audibles site like there are for other books. I reached out to Audible and the author and have heard nothing back. I enjoyed the book but feel that I would have grasped the info a bit better being able to see the PDF it referred to.

Great Book

If I can learn 1 thing new I consider the book a win! Never stop learning! Learned more than I anticipated. Now on to Dr. James DeNic next book!

Do Not Operate Heavy Machinery While Listening to this Book

The narrator’s voice is so soothing that I found myself nodding off at 830am while in rush hour traffic on the freeway during my morning commute.

It’s particularly difficult to stay awake during the lengthy paragraphs reciting exact numbers to the tenths and hundredths for lab work results, testing deficits and macro calculations. You definitely want this on-hand when you wake up at 330am and cannot fall back to sleep.

I honestly think this book would have been better served by an “annoying” narrator so that I could figure out when subject and paragraph changes began. I’m sure the content of the book is sound. I just can’t tell you anything that stands out but for the soothing droning that lulled me into alpha brain wave state. I even would rewind so that I could really listen a 2nd or 3rd time in several sections, but instead went deeper and deeper into delta. I can only hope there was some positive programming that my subconscious could attach to and alter my eating habits for the better.
