Publisher's summary

The chilling prequel to Ghostland.

Garrote House has seen its share of blood. Since Christopher's ancestor Oliver Hedgewood built the house in the 1800s, many spirits have taken up residence in "the Moving House", including horror author Rex Garrote, who'd burned to death in his private library. Christopher Hedgewood and Sara Jane Amblin, inventor of the Recurrence Field, return to Garrote House one final time before it's relocated to Ghostland.

They've both witnessed its ghosts many times. But neither of them have come at night, when the Moving House's most dangerous hauntings come alive.

A Little Disappointing

The Book was Excellent, but this "short" is too short to add any real depth to the story. If I had started with this, I would not have read the book. And that would be a shame because the boom is great!!

Unfortunately, the narration doesn't help this story along either. Joe Hemple has a lovely voice, but no method of charater distinction through his own voice. He really is just trading us the book and not "performing" it.

Prequel to Ghostland and Ghostland 2!

Story – 4.5/5
Narration - 5/5

“The Moving House" by Duncan Ralston is the mysterious prequel to the blockbuster “Ghostland" and the upcoming “Ghostland 2”.

This short serves as a primer to the some of the mystery around Rex Garrotte's haunted Victorian mansion.  You may also get an inkling as to where this Moving House is moving to!

Recommended, but buy the other 2 books while you’re at it because you’ll want to.

Really an anecote. VERY short.

I should have looked at the length before purchasing, but this is SUPER short. The print version is 24 pages long and I think calling this a "Prequel" is a bit of a stretch... more of a teaser. It didn't add anything of substance after reading Ghostland and I wouldn't recommend bothering with it unless you're a super fan of the trilogy and want the complete set.
