I’ve missed this author!!
It’s been a few years since this author has released a new book, I was beginning to wonder if she had retired from writing. I’m so happy to see her back, I’ve always enjoyed her books and hope she she will be releasing more books in the near future.
This is a very good read. Although not an original concept the protagonist (Mikes) has an interesting background. Growing up in the foster care system with his sister they only had each other. After graduating college and becoming an attorney he hangs out his own shingle and is promptly going broke. His sister becomes very ill and he needs money quickly. His friend has been pushing him and he finally agrees to go to work as a high priced male prostitute. He falls for a married woman against the rules and soon after her husband is murdered. Of course the police have their eye on either him or the wife. What happens after is a twisted story of multiple lies and betrayal with a shocking ending.
The narrators do a great job working together.
This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.
