Great life advice

I recommend this book to all the younger lawyers I mentor. It’s such important advice, especially for ambitious people these days, in a society that puts ego and fame over character and substance.

Outstanding

This is great and easy to follow the book. It is indeed mainstream. But the ideas are presented smoothly and make you think deeply about your own personal beliefs of ego. Highly recommended to people looking to start a self-awareness and stoicism philosophy path and have no idea where to start.

Engaging and very interesting.

Feels more like a learning session with history rather than a self-help book and I liked that. Nice to learn from real-life examples. Engaging and very interesting.

okay

The audio was not good. Fast and slow which was distracting. Learned a little but could use some more.

One of the best books

This book has a really good method of cognitive therapy and takes the complication and mystery out of the relaxation process. The relaxation process developed by the author is based on the most frequently used and effective practices in meditation that are common among many other types of meditation. I noticed, personally, that when I skip the relaxation exercise on a day, I feel more anxious.

I definitely recommend it.

I wondered if I would like to listen to therapy books, but after completing this one, I am grateful I chose it. In fact, I will be listening to it again. It felt like I was observing therapy sessions and the techniques came alive as I was listening rather than just reading. Great book and I definitely recommend it.
