I love flowers. Being a botanist has always been my dream, but life got in the way—and, nowadays, I have a job at the flower shop near my crummy apartment. So that's something, right? Maybe it's not in the best neighborhood, but it's a bright spot in a dirty city, and at least there are usually cops around. I've noticed one in particular lately, keeping an eye on the shop.

The narrator made hard to lessen to.
The sorry is pretty good. The voice of the narrator however is not someone I enjoy listening to. I recommend reading it yourself or to preview the audio samples before you buy to ensure you can sit through the entire book with the reader. Her attempt at a male voice was making me cringe

Not for me
This book is just ok. I’m not into 2,3,4 part series unless each book is a standalone which this is not. The story itself is just so-so in my opinion. But mostly, the thing that brought this down to 2 stars was the performance of the narrator. She sounds like she’s always smiling when she speaks- even during the very serious scenes. Just not interested enough to purchase the next audiobook. Sorry.

Just not good
I'm sorry for the narrator. It sounds like a machine reading. with pauses in the wrong places and no emotion. The story line was just boring. The sex scenes are so random. Who masturbates the first night in a stranger's house with nothing to get it started but just because.?.

Pointless
The story has a few twists but very little depth. When it finally reaches what you expect is the main plot the book ends abruptly. I feel like the author was trying to stretch this out into several books but should have combined books one and two. There is no point to book one other than to establish that the main character has crappy relationships and terrible life skills.

Worth the time
I do enjoy this story line.
I could not stand the narrator. Her voice sound robotic at times. Almost like Siri or Alexa responding to you.
I just didn’t like the flow of…
The story is decent. It’s like this whole first book was a build to a cliff hanger. There was no real story line here. Just building it to what I guess will happen im book 2.
