Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Couldn't put it down.

    Any additional comments?

This is as good if not better than Tufo's other z series. You will love this series if you are an animal lover, or a zombie lover, and if you are both you just can't miss this. Very detailed, great animal characters, and on the edge of your seat zombie action. Ever wonder what your dog or cat is really thinking when they are barking at nothing or randomly slapping you with a claw? This series gives you a pretty good idea what might be going on in their furry little heads!

    "Love it!"
Would you listen to The Book of Riley, Part 2 again? Why?

I would absolutely listen to it again. I love the personality that Mark Tufo gives to the animals. Being able to view the Zombie Fallout from the perspective of animals puts an interesting twist on zombie novels.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the animals personalities. I have an awesome mental picture of them as I listen to the story.

Have you listened to any of Sean Runnette’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes I have listened to Sean's performances. I love the changes in his tone to emphasize the personality of each character.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The evil dead or alive are no match for the triumphant trio, Riley, Patches and Ben-Ben!

    Any additional comments?

    I want book 3 :)

    "Mark Tufo Does it again"

I didn't think that i would like this due to it being from a dogs perspective, but after talking to the Author, (yes met him in NY and he is great and down to earth), i decided to give it a try. This is definetly in the same vein as ZF series, but just very short in length. Just when you think that you cant relate to animals, the cat in the story is mine (when did Mr. Tufo meet her?). All in all, even though they are short books, they are definetly worth purchasing. I loved them all. Cant wait for the next in the series.

"Best Zombie book I've read so far."
What made the experience of listening to The Book of Riley, Part 2 the most enjoyable?

I am not really into Zombie Novels, but I did read Fall out and loved it. I like Riley a bit more then then the Fall outs series Just because I Love Dogs.:-)

What does Sean Runnette bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I usually go back and fourth between the Audiobooks and the Books but I didn't with either book series. Sean Runnette can portray each character and bring out their individual personality.

"Great continuation of the RIley Adventure"

The Book of Riley, Part 2 picks up right after the conclusion of book one. With our group in dire need to get away from the zombies, even though they barely make an appearance, to find medicine or a doctor for the ailing baby. I love the different words Tufo has chosen to use instead of the "normal" ones. Foe example: Clear Viewer = Window; Two Legger = Human; Wheeler = Car; Boom Stick = Gun; Metal Bees = Bullets; and there are several more. Constantly making you think for a split second about what is really happening.

The groups finds their way to Las Vegas, where a band of survivors have settled. Although we find out that the citizens favorite past time is watching dog fights. Tufo was able to expand a grow all of the characters from the beginning of the series through this book. Each of them facing personal challenges and finding out what they are really willing to do for survival. If you want something a little different that is a quick listen filled with all the gore, action, suspense, that you would expect. Do yourself a favor and check this series out, I will be listening to more of this series for sure.

I cannot say enough good things about this performance of Sean Runnette. Let me rephrase that. I cannot state how lucky Tufo was to get Runnette as a narrator. Not sure who the genius was that made the decision. Hopefully they are aware of the magic that has been created with this pairing.

    "Riley Is Amazing"

This tale remains an action packed and on the edge of your seat, heart-stopping thriller. Over and above this Riley must deal with very weighty and profound moral dilemmas. If you are a veteran who has known combat, you may be able to recognize Riley's dilemma. Riley under it all has been raised to be a peaceful and loving dog. This translates to the extreme loyalty that he has to his "pack." However, he is kidnapped and placed in a life or death situation where he must deliberately kill another dog or be killed. He also later must kill an evil or at least a dim-witted person, who is holding him captive in order to gain the freedom he needs to rescue and reunite with his pack. To kill to survive is a sacrifice and a burden that he is willing to pay in order to continue to take care of his "pack." The men and women of the American military must make the same sacrifices and carry the same burdens. One could look at this as sacrifice for the "good of the American pack." Riley just gets better and better. The narration is outstanding.

"Another short burst of fun but a much darker story"

Having loved the first installment of Riley's tale I was eager to read the next; and relieved it was already available! However, this second installment takes a much darker turn with the pack's arrival in Vegas. As a dog lover I found it difficult to read actually due to the pack running into a dangers much worse than zombies. The pack work together to keep each other safe and in doing so, find out much more about each other. BenBen continues to be highly entertaining in his naive enthusiasm for life and two-leggers. Riley and the cat continue to work together in mutual distaste which makes for very funny dialogue. There is also a surprising new voice added to the fray.

The only thing that would make this story better is BACON!
