Publisher's summary

The best-selling post-apocalyptic epic adventure the Last Survivors - the complete series of six audiobooks in one bundle.

Survival in man’s second Dark Age.

Three hundred years after the fall of society, the last fragments of civilization are clinging to life, living in the ruins of the ancient cities in medieval conditions. Technology has been reduced to legend, monsters roam the forests, and fear reigns supreme. But that is just the beginning.

The wind-borne spores are spreading, disfiguring men and twisting their minds, turning them into creatures who threaten to destroy the townships. Among the townsfolk, political and the religious, dissension is spreading. Through it all, a mother must protect her son.

The complete six-audiobook Last Survivors series.

Grew Wearisome

While much of the story I did like, certain writing devices were excessively overused which was like a stab-in-the-eye every time it I heard it. For instance: Blackthorn "bit his lip." Fitz "bit her lip." Franklin"bit his lip." Ella "bit her lip, Bray bit his lip." Literally, every character was constantly "biting their lip" if even a hint of consternation. I don't know how anyone got anything done with all the friggin', incessant lip-biting. The books needs a re-edit.

The second thing that irritated me was the constant sermonizing that men bad (especially men in power), woman good theme. Guys...just give it a rest...I get it, you're woke.

The third thing that eventually drove me nuts was the narrator's intonation lilt. It was like being cooed at constantly by uncle perv. Nearly all sentences ended in the exact low-downturn of tone in almost a sing-song meter. Ugh!

Maybe if I took a year to listen to the books, I wouldn't have been so irritated...but I listened to it straight through over 2 weeks.

WOW! What a nice Surprise!

I started this book not really sure how I felt about it, but after only a few minutes I was hooked! Twist and turns and surprises throughout! More than 50 hours of story that had me hooked to the end! I usually prefer female narrators, but Sean Runnette killed it! Six books for one credit...you just can't beat that!

One of the best series I have read in a long time.

Very different. It’s one of those books you just can’t stop listening to once you start. Lots of violence but that’s expected. Very well written and narration was awesome. Hats off to the authors and narrator for a great series

Great Series

I enjoyed listening to these books as we traveled. The titles of the Chapters kept me from being confused in the beginning as I was getting to know the characters.

Great Story

This is a great story with a lot of great characters. I couldn't quit listening even with the ups and downs in the story. I will be getting the next book.

Strange but good book

Bizarre storyline but was a good book(s). It is post, post apocalyptic , taking place several hundred years prior to the downfall of earth. I would have called it more science fiction but then those lines of categories can blur a bit. Overall good books with lessons for humanity

Great Ride!

I've had this in my library for a long time, kind of forgot about it. So glad I decided to read it. Fantastic story, lots of adventures, creepy bad guys and lots of mystery ALL told to us by my personal favorite narrator, Sean Runnette.

Demons instead of Zombies!

Great story. It really draws you in from the beginning and keeps going full throttle all the way to the end. Great narration as well. I was very surprised at how much I liked it.

It's VERY Good

I love the dystopian genre quite a bit. I have read/listened to many. I admit I am only into Book 3 of the series. So far, I am REALLY enjoying it. I am at the edge of my seat on what is going to happen to each character. I am pretty picky when it comes to dystopian stories/series....this one is quite good. Nothing has bored me. I recommend it to anyone who likes this genre. It is worth the one credit to purchase it. Very, very good.
