Publisher's summary

With those he cares about safe and sound in the city of Savannah, Derek sets off to help another.

After a successful auction, the young Prince Edgar requested Derek’s help on an issue that concerned the safety of the entire Kingdom of Cydaria. A new, level 250 raid dungeon appeared, and Edgar needed the kingdom’s elite to help clear it before the unstable dungeon overflowed, or even worse, broke. Leaving his shop in the trusting hands of Malorie, and with everyone’s insistence that he go, Derek agreed to the prince’s request and joined him and the others on the raid. However, the dungeon wasn’t what anyone was expecting, and when they went inside, they found that it was a trial dungeon: A dungeon with various trials and obstacles one must overcome to complete it. Not only was a trial dungeon rare and virtually non-existent in raids, but the entire dungeon was also under a time dilation—causing the time inside the dungeon to pass at a different speed than the time outside. Now, with two trials completed and another team working on a third, Derek was able to take time to focus on his own Class Upgrade. But after initiating it, he ran into a new problem—the Great System seemed unable to help and thus requested assistance.

With another possible system in play, will it be a one-time assistance? Or will it stick around? If it does stick around, will it help or cause problems? And most importantly, what happened to Silvi’s cookies? Did they burn, or was Malorie able to save them in time?

Find out in the fifth installment of Derek’s journey in the System Universe. Join him and his companions as they adventure in this unique combination of the LitRPG, Isekai, and Slice of Life genres.

Too short

A great continuation of the story, but the book dosen't bring the story progression forward, just finishes the last book

A lot of Filler

I would like to start off by saying I really have enjoyed this series. The performance is great and the story has a unique take on LitRPG. After saying that, this was a 2 hour long book that was stretched to fit 12ish hours. I want to give this book a 5 out of 5, but the amount of fluff that was used irritated me. The entire book was only half of an Arc and 1 battle. The 4th Book ended where 2 trials into the dungeon, and 5h Book ended when they exited the dungeon. The worst part is this book only covered like 3-4ish trials of the dungeon! I will still get the next book because I enjoy the performance and the plot. My fingers are crossed that they cover more in the next book instead of talking in circles to describe 1 battle.

Too short and low forward movement

Excellent story, performed top notch, but the story was shortened by multiple duplicates of stat readings to elongate and not pushing the story line forward. Still a good book in the series and the next is hopefully going to get more story movement.

It keeps getting better

I’m only upset because the next book isn’t out. The series starts a bit slow but finds its stride by book 2-3. This one was my favorite so far. The narrators performance is genuinely enjoyable. He has an easy style that I’ve come to enjoy.

Worth the Credit! Worth the cash!

So when's the next book coming out? I do enjoy re-reading (listening to it again?) the series with each new book. I love the depth of the story and characters. Everyone has a nice back story that's either revealed or yet to be fully revealed. When is the Gluttonous Bunny going to eat someone?

The fifth book

Litrpg rating a solid 4.7 star
This was better than the last two. I still feel there’s some improvement that can be applied to the pacing of story but overall the series was well done
