A must read

Absolutely loved it, Patty whispering lament of the highbourne gave me chills. From the narration to the writing it's top to bottom the best companion for the current World of Warcraft storyline. An excellent POV of the child, the woman, the ranger general, the Banshee, the Warchief, and the Accomplice.

Having Patty Mattson narrate the book is worth it’s weight in gold. Great read, should have been release prior to Shadowlands.

String first half to weak finish

The voice actress alone will keep you captivated but sadly, as the story gets further from the mid way point it feels rushed and it's weaker for it. Then the ending is so anti climactic you will be SHOCKED its suddenly ends with so little. But overall, I think the first half and the voice acting is worth it.

Patty is Incredible

Patty is the reason why I decided to listen to this book. The story itself is great, wish we got this story told in game.

Pleasant Surprise

The in-game story surrounding the title character has been troubled for a while and this book goes a long way to dispel a lot of that, despite a few lore inconsistencies. Patty Mattson did a wonderful job narrating and was an example of top notch voice acting.

Why didn't we grt to read this before shadowlands

the story illuminations here are pointless at the end of Shadowlands. we needed this context at the start

Enjoyed

I have always been interested in Sylvanas as a character, and I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about her living years. I enjoy the game and have looked up some of the lore online so I am sure there is plenty I do not know, but I felt that this filled is some gaps for me or at least gave me a different perspective on it. I understand why the second half was more sparse since there was a lot of content to go over, but I would have enjoyed more detail and insight on the brushed over years. Honestly this could have easily become a 2 or 3 part series.

RIP Warcraft Lore

Decades of Warcraft Lore has been altered to support The Big Bad 5D Chess Playing Jailer, Zovaal. Rest In Peace. Nevertheless I still like anything Warcraft related.
