I was enjoying it

I definitely want to read more of this series. The story was engaging and enjoying.

A fine example of a short story

A thrilling adventure told well, read with skill and artistry. The near lost art of the short story is revived and celebrated in this tale.

excellent start

I started on this one, I'm maybe half way through the next title, and I'm stoked to have come across this series. I came here from The Wheel of Time, and so far, I am not disappointed.

Enjoyable

This is a great tale with lots of excitement and going ons. Enjoyed it very much.

Fast paced, but lacking.

*part of the current batch available from Podium that is included on Audible so I gave it a shot. Personally a 2.5/5* for me. The narration is good though!!

This is a prequel novella to The Godling Chronicles, and the latest I’ve finished from the included prequels on Audible.

I really liked how this one started. Lee is a man born of lower status that was later in life left an inheritance that allowed for him to parade around as a nobleman. Mention of parties every night, a butler like assistant, expensive horses and swords. That’s not to say that I liked him, he is a pompous prick in this, but I liked that it was a different approach on the character set up. Oh, and did I mention that he’s a godling? That fact kind of threw the lowborn status up in the air for me, but I liked that seemingly no on at all knows this.

The world building/lore isn’t a lot, but it is present. I liked what I heard, but this one really closely follows what the character is doing with little information or deviation.

The jewel part of the story itself was kind of convoluted to me though. Not to mention that the jewel speaks to people and tampers with their brain in an all-too-Gollum like way. The climax was kind of dull and ended quickly to the point of almost being pointless. I guess though, if you have read the series, the backstory may be a nice pay off. I don’t think I’ll continue though.

I listened to this book after book in the godling chronicles and the timing worked out great. Thats what I would suggest.

This is going to be a good series!

Completely entertaining, thoroughly enjoyable. A pleasure to read without cringe moments of things vial, profane, disgusting or prurient. Just a good story by a great storyteller and reader.

That was enjoyable

I was lost in the adventure of the story. Time passed without realizing it. Good characters with a nice story line. The narrator was outstanding. Next one please.
