Realistic View of Societal Breakdown

I loved this book. I think it is realistic of what might happen, and how fast, if oil production stopped. Makes me look at my "prepper" neighbors differently and wonder if I am built to survive. I liked how each character went into survival mode in their own time and manner.

He said: It’s hard to relate to this telling of a world gone dark.
She said: True, but perhaps if we start with the premise of a book and then leave out writing talent and character development
He said: Perfect, now we stir in sophistic storytelling with barely a hint of originality
She said: Yes, then we’ll start every single sentence with (wait for it)…”He said and She said”.

If you want a story found in the grade school library yet extended well past the 50 pages necessary to tell it… here’s your book.

I liked the story. It has an interesting angle and some of the characters even reminded me of people I know. This author has more books that I recommend others should listen to also.

Boring .

I enjoy stories about disaster. However, I never got connected to any of the characters. Author, in my opinion, kept switching to multiple characters telling the story.

Decent Story, But Lacking Something

Overall the story was pretty good, but there were a few weaknesses in the storyline and characters. Also, the author is either confused or has never used NVGs (nightvision goggles), because he kept talking about seeing heat signatures with the NVDs, but NVDs see light just below the visual spectrum not thermal...That would require Thermal equipment such as a FLIR!

Distracting narrator!

OMG guys, the narrator is, like, soo distracting with GenY way, emphasising every second word

Excellent storytelling. Great characters and superb narrative , The length of audio wall worth the purchase

I really enjoyed this book!

I enjoyed it because there was great character development and Lots of contacts for their living situation as well as what was going on in their immediate world.

Excellent series

I learned a lot, but without becoming bored. This whole series flows well. Lots of things happen, not the same thing over and over. I like the Hell Divers, and Undying Mercenaries series. This I like too. Give it a try!
