Publisher's summary

The Diamond in Your Pocket, the first major book release from Gangaji, describes our never-ending search to find fulfillment, which, paradoxically, is already present if we will only stop long enough to discover its true source.

"I have discovered that it is actually impossible to find happiness," Gangaji explains. "As long as you are seeking to find happiness somewhere, you are overlooking where happiness is...in your true nature." With The Diamond in Your Pocket, the American-born teacher who has influenced the lives of thousands through her retreats and public events helps us to reconcile the observations and questions that arise along the spiritual path.

Like a precious gem, The Diamond in Your Pocket cuts through what is false, and illuminates what is true, through a brilliant series of contemplations and insights you will want to hold dear and return to again and again. Gangaji shows us, thought-by-thought, how to stop the endless activity of our minds and experience the brilliance and radiance of who we really are in every present moment.

Diamond in Pocket

This is one of the best and straight forward explanations on the art of living. It is a must hear for anyone on the path of truth. I believe that it is one of those "pieces" that can be listened to again and again and still it seems fresh and vibrant. I can't say enough positive about it.

Timeless Wisdom

Gangaji is an American-born spiritual teacher who expresses non-dualist teaching in a very direct, personal, and accessible way. She writes, "This is an invitation into the core of your being. It is not about religion or lack of religion. It is not even about enlightenment or ignorance. It is about the truth of who you are, which is closer and deeper than anything that can be named. In any moment, in a split second, there is the possibility of recognizing the boundless, limitless, eternal divine truth of yourself...The recognition of this truth is what this book is about." I couldn't convey the subject of this book any better.

A Spiritual Classic

I'm convinced that this book will someday be regarded as one of the great spiritual classics of our time. Simple, yet subtle and profound, it is the very finest distillation of Gangaji's own teachings, and of what is sometimes called The Perennial Philosophy. Original in its approach, yet universal in its appeal, it speaks to us from a realm of truth that transcends all belief-systems. It can be used in conjunction with any religious path, provided that it is a path open to radical trans-dualist insight. Penetrating psychological insights and breath-taking spiritual insights harmonize in a way which can change lives.
However, the author reads rather fast at times, and in spite of her admirable simplicity of language, the meaning of the text is so dense and rich that I recommend also buying the print book. In any case, many passages require listening to over and over again.

Beyond words

I am not a "follower" of sages or guru's... however, when truth is shared, the energy of love that is being emitted is self evident. Diamond... speaks to a deeper part of myself beyond the minds incessant desire to figure out what to do or who to be... it just is. I understand this may be an obscure review however, if you are so called to be here reading reviews ... feel into what brought you here... what is beckoning?

I highly recommend listening to Gangaji's voice ... although there isn't a lot of variation in her tonality ... the resonance of love / truth is without a doubt heard loud and clear!

Extraordinary!

Listening to the book through the voice of the Gangaji took me to a deeply state of awareness. I felt a sense of peace and presence that I can’t explain. It helped me connect with the truth of who I am. It’s a real gem. Thank you Gangaji.

This may be exactly what you need

On this journey of finding the truth, there will be different books or teachings, or even a phrase someone says, that will affect different people for different reasons. This book was exactly what I needed. I’ve been following Rupert Spira and Adyashanti for some time, but this book really struck a different cord for me. Thank you for the wonderful words.

Best suited for the more advanced spiritual reader

I have read and taken away much good from books by Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, Louise Hay, Gary Renard and others. In listening to this book, it became evident the material is at a deeper level than what I have been exposed to. While at times I found the going difficult, the struggle was worth it. I will need to listen to this book multiple times to grasp all of the concepts covered. In summary I will say if you are just starting out in your spiritual quest, perhaps this is not the best book for you. Come back later, but do come back.

Best one yet.

For me this was the best book I have ever listed to on nondual consciousness. I have listened and read many, but this one really touched me deeply. I continue to listen to it, plus I bought a written copy. I really liked the authors voice, it is very calm and sobering. I assume it is the nature of books like this, it will strike a deep chord with some, and not so much with others. You will know in the first 5 minutes if it is for you.
