Where does It's Called a Breakup Because It's Broken rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of my tops. It makes me laugh and has REALLY helped me.
I was dumped yesterday morning and I did not know how I would get through holding up at work and so on. This authors books have helped me to get through break-ups with dignity and kindness to myself and others. You can't beat that!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I got dumped by my live-in partner of 2 years on a Monday morning (yesterday morning to be exact) totally out of the blue. Spent the day in shock and just packing as much as I could until I was exhausted. Then spent a night bawling and weeping in bed.
I do payroll at work so I HAD to come in to work. I can't describe how EXCRUCIATING it is to try to hold myself together or think straight.
I am very lucky to have the kind words of my friends who emailed me this morning.
These emails brought me to crying fits again. I'm working and going to the bathroom to cry about every 30 minutes. Even with the kind words my thank you's and "smile" were forced and faked.
In the first 5 minutes of this recording I laughed FOR REAL twice. It felt really good to be brought out of my devestating emotional tornado even for just those two laughs.

Everything's perfect! But....

Ladies, we all know that we can't go wrong when we purchase this book.
But what I was disappointed is that the narrator is not Greg but another guy!!!! His tone seems okay but not as real as Greg though.

I prefer the authors

this was still funny and a good listen despite it not being the authors but I have to admit I love the authors narrating. narrators are engaging, audible sample is bad. I'm glad they followed up "he's just not that into you"and they even mention that when you dump the guy who's just not into you, it's hard. great book

Very Helpful

I really like the angle of the book that has comedy mixed in with such a sad and serious topic. I really needed this book in a time in my life where everything was falling apart. thank you to the author if you're reading this, you did help me get thru it.

Very Insightful

I really iked this book, its a good little buddy to have when you just broken up with someone or just got dumped (not that either of those have happened to me yet), Even though i found this usful because i have been rejected and its sometimes hard to let go of something You thought was special or real, this book give you the truth while providing some laughter and cooking. It also has a part at the end for guys. But I would definatly suggest this book to anyone who is going through or just got broken up with.

I never would ever think that a book would help me heal from a breakup, but this book helped me in so many ways. I am incredibly grateful for stumbling upon it and listening to it. Thank you Greg and Amiira for your wise words.

Funny and Reassuring

The tone of this book is both funny and reassuring. Pretty much what you would want out of a breakup read. The concepts it talks about are more reality-based than Disney movie-based, yet it’s not always consistent in accurately framing these ideas when they joke around. They will joke about finding your “perfect” person, but the actual content of the book doesn’t believe that there are “perfect” matches. I’m nitpicking, but someone reading this who might be in an emotionally difficult situation might receive mixed signals. I do love this book though. The stories of the crazy ex-girlfriends and boyfriends are super entertaining.
