Painful in audio form

This audiobook is more painful to listen to than a five-year-old telling a story — at bedtime.

Stuff you already know but need to hear out loud

Quick and easy to "read". The performance is a little dodgy, especially when he's (quite unnecessarily) impersonating "female" voices, but it's not a deal breaker.

Simplistic but good overview

I had this book on my shelf for years. The authors tried to provide an applied book of emotional intelligence concept. The one thing I noticed that upon opening the book and you are hit with several pages of endorsements from well-known people. Hard to miss the Dalai Lama's one as it is the first. Then towards the end of the book, the authors mention their company it seems excessive.

With that said, their explanations are not riddled with jargon and the information was easily digestible. There are times when the explanations were simplistic but yet still provide some food for thought. Very good at outlining aspects considered essential to “emotional intelligence” but sparse on thorough implementation of gaining or implementing EQ.

Very insightful!!!

I enjoyed learning more about emotional intelligence. I love that it can be improved over time. I feel this will not only help me professionally but also in my personal life as well. The test I took after the first chapter told me helpful information about where my strengths and weaknesses reside.

Amazing book

I enjoyed. Some topics discussed were eye opener. I like the way author narrated and delivered knowledge with an example. The message was quite consistent. This book is a must read at least once a year

Nothing new but good

Nothing new here, not revolutionary. Needs ideas, real life situations, most of this was theoretical and vague

Great read necessary read

I enjoyed this immensely but I would recommend that audible organize how you get the code better especially after you listen to it there no link or pop up
I did see one initially when I first opened up the book to play but did not tap the link then expecting it to be there anytime I cannot find it now
That needs improvement for sure
Outside of that all great
