Publisher's summary

You're not going home. You're not going anywhere. You're mine now.

Growing up in a deeply troubled family, 15-year-old Anna felt lost and alone in the world. So when a friendly taxi driver befriended her, Anna welcomed the attention, and agreed to go home with him to meet his family. She wouldn't escape for over a decade.

Held captive by a sadistic pedophile, Anna was subjected to despicable levels of sexual abuse and torture. The unrelenting violence and degradation resulted in numerous miscarriages, and the birth of four babies.... each one stolen away from Anna at birth.

Her salvation arrived 13 years too late, but despite her shattered mind and body, Anna finally managed to flee. This is her harrowing, yet uplifting, true story of survival.

Contains mature themes.

If you can get through the very graphic abuse

After the first chapter, I turned the volume down each time the main character was being raped or abused. It was too much for me. I can't understand how anyone can be so cruel and it made me very angry.
This story captures the tragic life of a vulnerable young girl who is abducted by a sadistic predator who preys on her because she is alone. Being a mere child, she does everything in order to survive and nothing to escape while given many chances. No matter what she endures, rapes, abuse, being a baby making factory . After 13 years she finally escapes, burdened for her it seems, with the trauma of what happened to her.

Heart wrenching

Every moment of this book was absolutely heartbreaking, the life that the author has led is unimaginable.

The end....without giving it away...equally unbelievable

The human spirit....what a person can live through and still keep going....this story is the perfect example.

If you think you have it tough, pick up this book.

Tragedy and love

Well this isn’t a feel good book but it is an eye opener. It makes me wonder how many women the system and family failed. It is also a story of love that brings you through horrible times in your life. I must say children are a blessing no matter how they are conceived.

Read with Caution

It is incredibly graphic but well worth the read.. it exposes the horror many sex traffic victims go through and the fear that keeps them trapped. What was most shocking though is how many doctors and police ignored all signs that she was in need of help. Society must do better

Heart wrenching story

First, it is VERY GRAPHIC. Not for everyone. I can handle a lot of graphic things, but there were parts of it that literally made me feel sick. But I also think there is some importance in knowing all the details the author shares. She is so so brave to recount this terrible story. This man is literally the most evil man I've ever heard of and I hope he pays for the life he sucked out of this woman with 13 years of abuse and torture. To some, the end might not have a great resolution, but the fact the she was able to escape and put all of this into words is astounding.

Brutal but necessary

If more people in this world understood the potential for depravity and brutality that exists in 'humanity,' many of these survivors could have been spared some of their pain and suffering, because the 'fed flags' wouldn't be ignored and their stories would create, at least questions, if not outright investigations, instead of disbelief and criticism.

The willingness to turn a blind eye and not get involved is what gives the monsters in human form all the power. As difficult and uncomfortable as it is to listen, see, and act, it is negligible compared to the loneliness, pain and terror suffered by the victims of these inhuman acts.

Thank goodness there ARE a few people who are willing to risk careers, livelihoods and sometimes even their own lives to aid victims and help them become survivors. And, thank goodness some of those survivors have the courage to share their stories so some of these despicable people can be spotlighted and seen for what they are.

Thank you for your courage.

We can sometimes surprise our selves.

Very disturbing. To know that something like this still can happen. Makes you wonder about the different races of the world and just what secrets are hidden under the title of race and religion.

horrifyingly beautiful

This poor girls story was extremely hard to listen to, but no where near the pain it would take for her to share. It's difficult to imagine people as horrible as her captors truly exist, but knowledge is power. Knowing the signs to help someone in this kind of situation can be life saving, like Sally. I wish all the best to Anna, hoping her days are filled with love and safety.

Well written story of misery.

This story is heartbreaking! I cannot understand why she was made to suffer so long and no one released it. The book is well written and I do truly hope she is recovering
