Unfortunately, abuse happens everywhere and can come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes, it can happen right in front of us, and we still won't see it, or maybe, we just choose to ignore it hoping that one day it will go away on its own. Reinforces the book, Violated, by Sarah Wilson.
Initially, I struggled with the narrator’s accent and almost returned the book. By chapter 3, I was okay with it. Went back to the beginning and it was fine. I gave the narrator 5 stars. I also recommend Violated by Sarah Wilson. Excellent narration. Amazing the same situation with the Pakistani men. There are enough differences, where reading both books gives you the best sense of the situation.
Highly recommended.
