A shocking true story of a girl's affair with her father.

After years of suffering multiple forms of abuse, a vulnerable young girl flees her home only to land straight into the arms of her biological father - a sexual predator.

My Daddy the Pedophile tells the harrowing true story of a teenage girl’s affair with her manipulative sociopathic father. After a terrible dark secret comes to light, the real story unfolds and her courageous journey of healing begins.

Powerful and inspiring, My Daddy the Pedophile offers hope, encouragement, and the knowledge that although the road may be bumpy and the journey long, it is always possible to prevail over great trauma.

Critic reviews

"If you are easily shocked by what occurs behind closed doors in some average suburban neighborhoods, do not read this book. If you want to read a riveting tale of manipulation, abuse, and courageous healing, then this is the book for you." (Sharyn Higdon Jones, MFT, author of Healing Steps)

"Lily Palazzi's memoir, My Daddy the Pedophile is a riveting, well-paced account of both how her father's calculated manipulation of her desperate need to be loved subjected her to the wounding distortions of incest and how through therapy and the true love of her husband she ultimately finds the healing she had once thought would never be possible." (Catherine McCall, author of the international best seller Never Tell)

“It pulls you along from page to page.... There's no self pity, no hate - just a suspenseful, honest, highly readable account of how a human being can emerge whole from even the worst of childhoods.” (Adair Lara, author of Naked, Drunk, and Writing)

eye opening

This book was heartbreaking as well as informative on childhood sexual abuse. The way the author was able to correctly tell her story in a way that resembled her step by step process of understanding what happened to her and how.

Excellently Written & Relatable

Thank you. I could leave it at that, but I appreciate the therapy side as well. I have recently started IFS myself. Incredible healing method. You can suddenly become your biggest advocate. Again. Thank you.

Can finally relate with someone

I really appreciate Lily having the courage to write this book.
I, too, was sexually abused for 11 years of my life, and this book really gave me encouragement on healing, and dealing with trauma that I experienced in my childhood.
So far this has been the best book I have ever found that explains what a child goes through, and what an adult goes through living with the history of sexual abuse.
Thank you for writing your story Lily. I’m going through all that you did to help others heal. I’m so happy how your life has turned out with your marriage and your daughter Amy. I know it’s been a long road, but it seems like it was completely worth every step of the journey.

Healing but hard to hear

I’m not gonna lie this story is hella triggering. If you’ve experienced sexual abuse read it when you’re ready and take it slow. It’s helped me face realities in my own life though and I’m glad I’ve read it.

such an amazing story of Hope strength and courage

I couldn't not stop listening to this book. definitely taught me some things about inner child and definitely made me look at situations differently than before. if the author of the book ever reads this comment I want you to know that you are so brave and I think you a million times for writing this. I have some things in my past that I'm unsure of and I just really needed to hear some of the validation coming out of your words in this story. thank you for being so open and honest and real

horrible story but it had a great ending

I hated hearing how Lilly was molested by her stepdad then by her dad, but she broke the cycle of mental, sexual abuse by her father and physical an mental abuse frm her mother, she even protected her own daughter frm it, she's truly a very strong woman

She’s my hero

Lily lived a nightmare that no one should have to experience. This story is so real that it seems unreal! If that makes any sense. The fact that she came through this is a miracle. The fact that she has prospered through it is heroic!

Excellent Read

This book kept me listening and wanting more. To hear the horrific things that were done to her and her brothers and sisters is awful.

Harrowing Story of Survival

In honest and very blunt terms, this book lays bare the reality of child abuse.
