I have bought this book twice (electronic copy and audible) and went through all its chapters .. I advice all physicians, teachers and all of those looking for extending their health as they aging to read or listen to the book and to try to incorporate its advices into their life as possible.. I do agree that on adopting these advices, many of the worrying medical issues would be something from the past..
This is the only book you will need to turn your life around, Dr. Fuhrman has done extensive research on the subject of health and superior nutrition through a plant based diet, this worked for me and now my AC1, Blood pressure, Cholesterol, Triglycerides and weight are exactly where they should be, I have lost 95 pounds and no longer have any symptoms of Type II Diabetes, thank you Dr. Fuhrman for giving me my life back through Nutritional Excellance.

joel criticizes and compliments the details of other heart diet plans objectively. he compliments dr orinish yet criticizes the meteranian diet which is helpful because of all the confusion on which diet will work the best. the narrator did a very good relaying all the details also
This is a great book if you have no dietary knowledge about how to eat a plant based vegan diet. If you already have this knowledge, this book serves as a reinforcer. I found the compare/contrast to Dean Ornish to be the most interesting, and tend to be more in Fuhrman's camp.
Shocking g revelation on your health you won't get anywhere else. I bought copies for all those I love or like for their birthdays or Christmas it opens your eyes to the truth on what true nutrition is and what it does for you. The book teaches you why the lies about nutrition exist. But this book it will change the way you eat, live and look at food and the food industry. I will never eat the same again
