If you could sum up Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan in three words, what would they be?

    Powerful, Gripping, and fulfilling

What did you like best about this story?

The internal struggle between light and dark within Revan

What about Marc Thompson’s performance did you like?

Marc makes you feel as if you are there.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Scourges reaction when Revan easily defeated a member of the Dark council in front of his Sith ally.

    Any additional comments?

I would have loved to get more back story regarding the past of Revan and Malak. Maybe another book?

    "Great!"

Some of the sound effects got annoying, for example the speeder sounds on correscant but other than that it was a great story that answered a lot of unanswered questions left over from KOTOR 1 and 2, and the voice acting was superb

    "Not Really What I Expected"

I'm not really sure how to review this book. The writing is not bad, and the narration is quite good. I did find the effects to be a little gimmicky but at time it added to a fun atmosphere.

The problem I have is with the book is the way it treats the characters. I loved the original videogame and have played both several times in fact KOTOR is top 3 games of all time in my book. To me they used them as a backdrop for a new character that I did not really care for and left me trying to grapple how these were the same characters as in the videogame. The only one I feel was at least treated properly was the Canderous Ordo.

In the end I am not sad to have listened to the book as some neat information was scattered about, but in the end I am not sure that I would recommend it to anyone who truly loved the games.

    "All Hail Darth Revan!!!!!"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book to a friend or foe. It's that good

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is Revan. The reason why is he's dope! :-D I'll explain in additional comments :-)

Which character – as performed by Marc Thompson – was your favorite?

    Revan

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Darth Revan, received his mask back; when worn, it made him seem indomitable. As a result of him recieving the mask all of his memories that were incomplete started flooding in and Revan once again had a true sense of self.

    Any additional comments?

I think that the story of Revan is one of the best that Star Wars ever told. This book here is not his complete story however. Revan story was told throughout "Knights of the Old Republic" where he was a Jedi but disagree the Jedi council plan of inaction. During that time Revan, Malak, and Matrea Sorik went to face and defeat the Mandalorians which were killing people by the millions but to do so Revan had to cross the line into the dark side. Once he conquered the enemy Revan and Malak still didn't get the support of the Jedi council and since became Darth Revan and Darth Malak. Eventually Revan's apprentice Malak tried to kill him by firing on his ship. At that point he lost his memory and has been trying to regain his memory and sense of self. This book is part 2 or the second half of Revan's story. Even 2000+ years before Anakin Skywalker the Jedi council were doped then too. In fact it is the Jedi's know it all, arrogant ways which always allows them to be blind sided. It is my opinion that if Star Wars movies took the sega back 2000+ years you will probably have even more Star Wars fans..... Darth Vader is cool, Anakin is cool, but, the two shrink in comparison to any Jedi or Sith back during those times. I mean Darth Sidious only had tier II force lighting...he was no master only a politician with force sensitivity that Darth Plagueis molded.

"Not bad at all, but shouldve been even better."
Would you listen to Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan again? Why?

We know a little more about Revan, we get deeper into his character, but the story in which it takes place lacks depth. Scourge was very well described and implemented, I really like him, but revan was... soft. He was very ordinary, he looked like a simple Jedi that had a hard past, not the very strong and hard headed warrior that he is supposed to be. I wish that the story wouldve gone deeper into the fight agaisnt the emperor, instead of just spending most of it elsewhere.

Would you be willing to try another book from Drew Karpyshyn? Why or why not?

Of course, my favourites book ever are his Bane's trilogy, he is a good writer, which makes me even more of the opinion that this book couldve been better, its still a good book though.

Which character – as performed by Marc Thompson – was your favorite?

Scourge. He is violent, ruthless, but not psychopathic, he is smart in his cruelty, and thats how sith should be.

    Any additional comments?

The sith are well described in this one, the Emperor is shown to be a paranoid maniac instead of a strong ruler, and thats exactly how it should be. Scourge is not just a killer who loves suffering, he loves it, but he also know when to be merciful and when to be selfish, I wont say more for spoilers sake. Revan is too soft, but he gets good moments and Meetra is nice, she is strong willed and also affected by her past, which is how I feel she has to be.

    "True to Revan's Character"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Powerful ending , strong story that highlighted why we loved Darth Revan , and above all a good connecting story that bridges Kotor 1 and Kotor 2

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending so powerful and above all it kept the characters real and true to their personalities. Part of me wishes it ended differently but that's because i admire the characters. Solid ending

    "Pronunciation issues"

Overall, the reader did a fantastic job! However, there were some pronunciation issues I had. For example, the way he says Twi'lek. He pronounces it twih-lek not twee-lek. Just a tiny thing, insignificant really, but it made me sad. When you hear him say it, you'll cringe.
