A major must read series
What made the experience of listening to Monster Hunter International the most enjoyable?
Simply the world created by Larry Correia fascinates the reader! The characters, world of monsters and the hunters fightinh for the lives of humankind is unbelievable realistic and complete.
What other book might you compare Monster Hunter International to and why?
This is a completely new world and series of events. One can find the taste in some different books but honestly speaking Monster International is one of a kind!
What about Oliver Wyman’s performance did you like?
He is so into the book and does a great job impersonating so many different characters.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Surprised by how good the book was despite its weird beginning!
As a fantasy lover, this book was right up my alley. I didn't care for the narrator's portrayal of women voices and wasn't my favorite narrator but could definitely overlook it because the book was so good. I even laughed at times because of the sarcasm. I would definitely recommend if you're into fantasy vampires werewolves anything supernatural.

Awful narration
The narrator really ruins this whole thing. The book starts with an attack by a werewolf. Oliver Wyman sounds as if he might nod off and start snoring throughout the entire scene. And he delivers all of it that way. The same sleepy cadence and lack of inflection that he uses to describe mortal peril is the same that he uses to describe everything. I would recommend you buy the book and read it if you're interested in the series.

MHI where do I sign up!
Would you consider the audio edition of Monster Hunter International to be better than the print version?
Yes the performer is fantastic. Even though I am sure reading the book would be great anyway the audio version is an enhancement.

The story is riveting and full of action, humour and just all around fun.

Slow start, light read, ok by the end

This book was entertaining to hear, not sure it would have been the same to read. I would say that it is an easy listen and did become compelling about half way through (before that it was just "ok"). It had a lot of things in it that appeared extraneous or like the author was trying too hard to fit as many fantasy concepts in as he could.
