King Hall - where the Mysticals go to learn their craft, get their degrees, and transition into adulthood. And where four new Rulers will rise and meet their destinies.
Lily Ruckler is adept at one thing: Survival. Born a Mystical hybrid, her mere existence is forbidden, but her nightmare is only about to start. Fluke, happenstance, and a deep personal loss finds Lily deeply entrenched with those who would destroy her simply for existing - The Mystical Kings. Being named future Queen of the Shifters shoves Lily into the spotlight, making her one of the most visible Mysticals in the world. But with risk comes a certain solace - her burgeoning friendships with the other three Rulers: A wicked Vampire, a wild-child Mage, and a playboy Elemental. Backed by their faith and trust, Lily begins to relax into her new life.
Then chaos erupts as the fragile peace between Commoners and Mysticals is broken, and suddenly Lily realizes the greatest threat was never from within, and her fear takes on a new name: The Revolution.

Audible. ..yeahhhhhhh.....yeahhhhhh...Who Needs T.V.
The characters grabbed me instantly.
How they merge vamps, mages, elementals, and shifters in a way l never thought of.
She was a little clear eyes guy 2 me. Just my opinion!!!!!!
Yes and I did, was almost late 2 work the next day.
This book was awsome. I honestly can say best thing I've heard so far this year. Def a must
I don't know I didn't read the printed version of this book. But I can say I'm the very tempted to go on and read the second book. But I like to stick with what I start with. So Im going to wait and see if Audible gets it. If not soon through it will be on. Because I want to know what happens right now.
I like all of them but Ezra and Lily have a vibe that just makes me smile.
I think she was awesome. There was no one character that was performed better than the others. To me any way and thats how I like it. It breaks character for me in my little play that goes on in my head if some are better than others. I will be looking for more performed by her.
Oh man! I cried the kind that had to get the tissue box kind. Then laughed, got mad, I think I went through a roller coster and loved it the whole time.
I have been a member of Audible for a couple of years now and have hear a lot of books that I have really liked. But this is the first that I have liked enough to leave a review for.
As a book the story is awesome. If you read it your self. As an audible, the narrating was a bit boring. She was flat, Not a lot of emotion.
It is very unique in the way Scarlett Dawn separates all the groups, of vampires, shifters, mages and elementals. So no there is not another book I could compare.
Only if she had more emotion!!!
If you listened to this book and did not like the narration, then please read it. The whole series is good. I am waiting for the 5th book to come out. I have to say I was really disappointed in the narration, I wish it could of been better!!
the Narrator was awesome! she did so good with the voices of the prodigies. she made the story work! they way the kings handled things was a little unbelievable for me. they were not Alpha enough. they were tough on the prodigies but not to the "coms" regular humans. a real vampire king or Shifter king would be out there kicking butt! I wish Lilly would just say yes I am a hybrid and nothing is wrong with me. and go kick some butt!
this is the first Audio book i have ever heard i mainly read my ebooks and i loved this story , so i new it would be good if the narrater did a good job well .. she did a fantastic job it was great and hopefully King Cave will be brought out as audio book soon too
This could have been a great book. Characters are flat and do things completely out of character. The main character shoots someone with no regrets with little to no background understanding. Supporting characters are easily mixed up (was Antonio the uncle? had to listen to that part three times to figure it out). The author relies on stereotypes to build the characters.
Narrator roves in and out of poorly acted accents that change from one moment to the next.
Say something about yourself!
I tried. I really did. But when I start stopping a book to listen to another I know it's time to give up the ghost. The plot was boring, very slow paced. And narration could have been better. Her voice was very annoying at times. I finally stopped and returned this after I started skipping chapters. I am so glad Audible lets you return any books you don't like.
I really enjoyed the story of Lily, Ezra, Jack and Pearl. I loved the friendship that they shared and how they re-acted to Lily's secret.
Chandra Skyye was a great narrator for the story.
I was a bit confused at the beginning of the book due to a character and Lily that I thought this may have been a sequel but I'm glad I continued to listen.
