Love Star Wars, didn't love this story.
What made the experience of listening to A New Dawn: Star Wars the most enjoyable?
Marc Thompson who narrated the book does a phenomenal job.
Would you recommend A New Dawn: Star Wars to your friends? Why or why not?
I think the story lagged too much and didn't have as much action as a Star Wars story should.

Amazing voices, and emotion. Very great performance.

Pretty Solid
First, Marc Thompson is a good voice artist. Not quite as good as Jonathan Davis, but definitely in the same league. Second, the story is good. If you are looking for a story that doesn't rely too heavily on the Jedi to solve problems, while still including and acknowledging them, you will enjoy this book. Third, the politics and day to day of the Empire is pretty well developed in the story, which adds quite a bit of flavor. Will listen to again.

A definite must read for fans of Star Wars Rebels. Gives a great backstory for Kanan and Hera. A great story with great characters that keeps the Star Wars universe exciting and relevant. A definite 5 star read!!!

Good but not GREAT!
I had hoped this novel would not just give me a glimpse of how Dume & Hera met, but how Zeb and Sabine wound up with them.
I will say the ‘Skelly’ character was a hilarious ride and Thompson just GETS Star Wars in his performances.
However, I found that good old Dume as I call him sounded more like just ‘some dude’ rather than what he sounds like on Rebels; as did Hera.
I get it, it can’t be perfect, but since Thompson does so many others so accurately, this was a bit of a letdown. I do look forward to more books like this and anything Thompson does the voice of; despite only a B- effort here.
