"Officially, my favorite HR series. A+"

I loved both Ian and Mac's story. I didn't think Jennifer Ashley could write another 5star book. But she has. Cam story is sad, passionate and beautiful. Surpassed my expectations, and then some.
Angela Dawe's performance was superb! I want to read the next book, but I'm willing to wait to hear Dawe's beautiful interpretation.

Highly recommended!!! Every book in this series is exceptional.

"I Am ADDICTED To & LOVE This Series-Read in Order"
Would you consider the audio edition of The Many Sins of Lord Cameron to be better than the print version?

I've not read the books. I advise reading them in order, but each one -thus far- is a stand alone.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Many Sins of Lord Cameron?

Ainsley's clever thievery -past and current & learning of how Cameron received his scars.

Have you listened to any of Angela Dawe’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, she is EXCELLENT in ALL the Highland Pleasures books.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but it took me several days... oh, to be able to listen to the whole series at once without interruption!

    Any additional comments?

Great plot and sub plot...also glad for the hints of upcoming books in the series.

NOTE: Some strong language and a few sexual 'encounters'.

"THIS BOOK IS FREAKEN AMAZING!!! AMAZING!"

After being swept off my feet with Ian & Beth's story in the first book in the series, my main worry in continuing with the series was that I didn't have a vacation lined up to do some serious marathon reading/listening. However, the second book in the series was a complete disappointment even though I really like Mac & Isabella. Jennifer Ashley really messed up with the second book in my humble opinion and all that did for me was linger and hesitate to read the rest of the series. UGH!!! I LOST SO MUCH TIME!!! Why?---Because "The Many Sins of Lord Cameron" was freaken amazing!!

    Let me break it down:

    I. A Romance to Savor:
This is a book that I would put in the category of "an author's gift to readers" lol. The reason being that this book delivered at every step of the burgeoning romance between Cameron MacKenzie and Ainsley Douglas.

Now, this couple eased into their romance. First, when Cameron and Ainsley met she was married & refused to cheat on her elderly husband even though there was this crazy-amazing connection between the both of them (ultimately, this was good because Cameron really respected her for it). The second part of "taking it slow" came through the courtship-era...lol..not sure what to refer to it as..um their "getting to know each other stage?" However, there was nothing SLOW about their sumptuous rendezvous that were STEAMY & just fabulous. Why?-- Because there were so many combustible moments between the two...just a few come to mind: wrestling in Cameron's bed, unbuttoning buttons in the woods, stolen kisses and touches in the study, the billiards' room....and that was just in the very beginning! As the story progressed so did the HOT romance. In fact, the romance maintained the main focal point of the book (I know that should be expected, but that doesn't always happen in novels when authors decide to write sloppy).

II. Sweet Moments between other MacKenzie couples:

If you love the MacKenzie clan than this book is going to spoil you! Especially, if you love Ian MacKenzie....

~Loved where Mac surrounded Isabella with kisses and put his hands on her pregnant belly from their second child.

~OMG, there is this scene where Cameron is talking to Ian and Ian walks away without finishing the conversation (typical autism behavior) because he is pulled to Beth whom Cameron describes as Ian's "anchor" and the "conduit" in which Ian is able to understand the joys of life (this was because Beth was radiantly smiling as she enjoyed the fireworks).

~Ian and the honey jar....LOL. I can't say more..that scene was just a treat as Ian ushered Beth out of the dinning room as the complete MacKenzie family were eating breakfast. Haha...LOVE it!

~OK, I had not warmed up to Hart MacKenzie, but this book won me over to him. There is more information about how much Hart has fought and sacrificed and is ALWAYS there for his brothers & family. But, the scene that almost made me topple over in my chair was between Hart MacKenzie and Lady Eleanor Ramsay in the train....whoa, that was just lovely....lovely indeed.

~Ok, Beth Mackenzie is still pretty powerful in my view. There is this part where Ainsley is summoned by the queen & leaves abruptly. She wasn't able to say goodbye in person to Cameron and right before he has a panic attack (well, at least it seemed like he was going to have a panic attack...LOL), Beth gives him the most powerful, soothing words ever..and it completely calms him and feeds his hope and trust in his relationship with Ainsley.

III. Marriage is Just the Beginning

What I really liked and enjoyed was how the story did not end when Cameron and Ainsley got married. They really had to work things out. On a huge positive note, they were able to finally love without restraint...which equals wonderful love scenes. I liked how Cameron gave Ainsley cute nicknames like, "mouse, ferret, devil woman, & vixen." Believe me...in context they are so cute!

Ok, what really made Cameron and Ainsley's story absolutely amazing is the complexity of their persons. Jennifer Ashley really knows how to write characters/leads in which there is a reason for the madness and the connection to a soulmate. Ainsley completes Cameron because she is what he needs due to his traumatic first marriage and fears that he carried into their relationship. Cameron is all the man that Ainsley needs as well. Also, I have to say that I loved the horse Jasmine. And, the ending of the book was perfect. I loved how Ainsley made a way for all of Cameron's dreams to come true (yes, even the unspoken ones).

NARRATOR: Angela Dawe is a perfect narrator for the series. I don't know what people are thinking when they have given her unfavorable reviews. She has created the most sultry, deep masculine voices with a twinge of Scottish accent (because after all these men are English too...or at least educated & immersed in British society). Also, I really like the female voices she creates for each of the characters.

    "GREAT SERIES!"

This book was just as great as the previous two. I love the brothers. They each have a dark background but still have the ability to love. Romance!! I have already started on the four book. I'm lovin' it!

"Victorian romance and a great narrator"
Would you consider the audio edition of The Many Sins of Lord Cameron to be better than the print version?

I did whisper-sync for the first time and I have to admit I missed the narration. It's that good.

What other book might you compare The Many Sins of Lord Cameron to and why?

This is the third book in the Mackenzie Family/ highland pleasures series. I started with the first one and liked the family so much I wanted them to all get their HEA. I'm on the last one now.

Which character – as performed by Angela Dawe – was your favorite?

I think the great thing about the narrator is that she creates good varied voices for the characters. In the series? I'd have to say Isabella from the second book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It's my listen to while working book so I saved it for those days and times. Although several times I was listening on the way home and had to set the "stop at chapter end" on my iPhone app to keep from listening all night.
