The exciting, titillating, and action-filled conclusion to Captive in the Dark.
What is the price of redemption?
Rescued from sexual slavery by a mysterious Pakistani officer, Caleb carries the weight of a debt that must be paid in blood.
The road has been long and fraught with uncertainty, but for Caleb and Livvie, it's all coming to an end.
Can he surrender the woman he loves for the sake of vengeance?
Or will he make the ultimate sacrifice?

This was great. The last few lines almost made me cry sweet happy tears. Just as the characters never gave up and did so regardless of what others thought, I hope CJ Roberts does the same. I WILL be reading more of this author's books!
I don’t view this as a BDSM book. This isn’t BDSM as we usually see it in books, this is real life BDSM. Its not a game, its not a lifestyle, not a choice, this is LIVING in it. Its raw, gritty reality. There is no safe word, no consent, no out. The main purpose isn’t getting off, the purpose is training.
Never before have I been so emotionally conflicted while reading a book. The author presents a hundred and one legit reasons to hate Caleb, and then, while you're least expecting it, sneaks in surprising shimmers of Caleb's 'human' side causing you to question your stance entirely.
The book is just sick in a way that is not ok, at the same time the book is very boring, the progress is so slow and the plot is weak! I could almost not finish!
90% of the book Oliva was crying and was repeating the word "pleace" 5000 times during the book. its was extreamly annoying! she is just so weak! no backbone whatsoever! just cried out "pleace" all the time to everyone!
Her kidnaper raped her, hit her, tortured her, he broke her in the worst ways possible!! it was SICK!!! and she still just loved him and was constantly horny like some kind of animal that could not help her self..olivia was just so sick and so weak.... it is just so provoking! she should have shot him in the head!
I want my money back Audible!!!!
the overall story line was great but a bit too forty for my tastes, kind of extreme. Not a book to listen to while in public, it feels like everyone can hear what you are listening to. Uncomfortable but great two books, will be buying the next one
I cannot say enough good things about this series. It is tragic. It is dark. It is terrifying. It is beautiful. I obsessively listened to Captive in the Dark and Seduced in the Dark one right after the other, devouring them in a couple of days.
The relationship between Caleb and Livvie is heartbreaking and touching all at once. CJ Roberts did an amazing job with this series; the story was well written and didn't shy away from the terror of the situation, making it more appealing than it was.
Emily Durante was a perfect narrator. Her depiction of different characters was well developed, and the emotion she put into this story (so many varied emotions to play) could not have been better performed. I found myself feeling exactly as the characters felt, picturing everything so vividly as I listened.
Do yourself a favor. Do not pass this series up.
Enjoy listening to a narration of a great book.
This is the second novel in the Capture In The Dark series. I found the second novel less offensive than the first book.
It could be less offensive because as the novel starts we find now find Livvy is safe away from her kidnappers and is reselling her.story to FBI agent Reed, who has his own problems when it comes to sex and home life when he was young. Livvy also was assigned a Social worker, Soloan, who she never make a connection with and never trusts.
