Secured In The Dark

This is the second novel in the Capture In The Dark series. I found the second novel less offensive than the first book.

It could be less offensive because as the novel starts we find now find Livvy is safe away from her kidnappers and is reselling her.story to FBI agent Reed, who has his own problems when it comes to sex and home life when he was young. Livvy also was assigned a Social worker, Soloan, who she never make a connection with and never trusts.

Very creative

Absolutely love this book it was a little dark but very creative and the author wrote it very well.

captivating sequel

Again another great story. I was surprised at some of the facts you find out. I wasn't always sure where Roberts was going but I enjoyed the ride. I would highly recommend this story but listen to book #1 first.

WOW!!!

I usually don’t take the time for written reviews but this book is worth the time for sure... I am a huge fan of the darker romance novels and BDSM. This book definitely fits the bill. It’s definitely NOT for the faint of heart. The warning at the bottom of the description is most definitely there for a reason. I was in tears through the whole book the first one not so much but this one really had me in my feelings. I’m anxious to read the 3rd and final book from Caleb’s perspective. 5 stars across the board for this trilogy.

wrongs made right

I'm not even sure how to articulate the way this book made me feel. There's so many wrongs that should just not be forgivable but two Souls were brought together for a purpose. They grew they learned and Caleb did the best he could to fix his wrongs. This book was dark, erotic to a sense, and even just starving. But overall it touch2play somewhere deep in the dark crevices of my soul and made me feel things I know I probably shouldn't. Overall I really loved the way the author put forth her story.

Dark, Depraved and Seductive!

This book was a winner for me. Although the content is still dark and disturbing, the writing is awesome. The author puts a different spin to telling this part of the story. She jumps from present day to flashbacks of the past and reliving what happens to Livvie. This was, at first, confusing as you almost felt like the story was not starting from where it left off. I love all the twists and turns to this book. Even though the subject matter is dark, the characters draw you in. You can feel the tension and connection between Livvie and Caleb. The hurt, anger and confusion comes through as each scene is being told. Livvie gets a bit stronger in this book but still remains vulnerable and broken at the same time. I love the way the author takes Caleb and shows two distinct personalities within him and how he is torn between betraying Livvie or the man who supposedly saved him. You see the good creeping out of him but then the dark side takes over. I never know if I like him or hate him and that just makes for a great story. This book has it all; deception, depravement, seduction, sex and twisted love. It is a must read.

Seduced By This Book

Where to even begin? This is one of the most raw and brutally emotional series, likely falls into the dark erotic romance genre. I put it down a few times just for a breather. But then I couldn't stay away and as soon as I was done with the first book, I started this one. So taken with the story, I had to know what would happen next for Caleb and Olivia. Just as with the first book, I was seduced by this story. There's nothing predictable about this couple and that makes for a more intense read.

Dark, painful, lusty, nasty, yum!!!

I loved and lived it. I felt every emotion from the characters. CJ Roberts outstanding!

The events of the story

The events of the story were very well written. It had me on edge the whole time! The only complaint I have is that I wish they had a male voice for the male characters.
