Publisher's summary

Audie Award Nominee, Romance, 2013

Eveline Armstrong is fiercely loved and protected by her powerful clan, but outsiders consider her "touched." Beautiful, fey, with a level, intent gaze, she doesn't speak. No one, not even her family, knows that she cannot hear. Content with her life of seclusion, Eveline has taught herself to read lips and allows the outside world to view her as daft. But when an arranged marriage into a rival clan makes Graeme Montgomery her husband, Eveline accepts her duty -unprepared for the delights to come. Graeme is a rugged warrior with a voice so deep and powerful that his new bride can hear it, and hands and kisses so tender and skilled that he stirs her deepest passions. Graeme is intrigued by the mysterious Eveline, whose silent lips are ripe with temptation and whose bright, intelligent eyes can see into his soul. As intimacy deepens, he learns her secret. But when clan rivalries and dark deeds threaten the wife he has only begun to cherish, the Scottish warrior will move heaven and earth to save the woman who has awakened his heart to the beautiful song of a rare and magical love.

Great listen!

The book kept me entertained from the start. It was predictable at times, but most books are.

Quick, easy listen

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Sure. It was, like I said, a quick, easy listen. I had just finished listen to a heavier murder mystery and was looking to listen to something that I didn't have to concentrate on quite so much. This fit the bill.

A Fantastic Novel that takes into the Highlands!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely yes!!! The story is one of the best romances I have ever read ( or heard).
The reader even adds to the authenticity with her brogue. Can't wait for the second installment! Maya Banks hit a home run with this one

What other book might you compare Never Seduce a Scot to and why?

In the terms of strong characters I would have to compare her to Julie Garwoods Highland books without Ms Garwood humor. Maya Banks characters are very intense and compassionate. Her Heroine is deaf and marrying into a hated rival clan yet she is intelligent, strong and determined to make her place in this clan against huge opposition.

Have you listened to any of Kirsten Potter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first Kirsten Potter naration that I have heard and I love Her !

Very Good

Would you listen to Never Seduce a Scot again? Why?

Yes! The story felt so real, the characters were believable and compelling. I have never read/listened to a book by Maya Banks and found this awesome!

What other book might you compare Never Seduce a Scot to and why?

I would compare this to Highland Treasure by Mary McCall because both stories had real characters. There was heartache and challenge along with humor and love.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Eveline is swinging the sword and using her voice for the first time in three years! I could see it all happening and what those vile clans women were saying to her was just wrong and she put them in their place.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Most books I read I have reactions to, I'm very invested in my books. Each story becomes tales about my friends and family, and Eveline was definitely like family. Having Rory there to befriend her was the best. When her parents finally learned the truth I cried.

Any additional comments?

Splendid book, I can't wait to delve into the next one.

This is a wonderful touching story that you just can not stop listening and have to push everything aside to finish. Very well written and excellent narration. My first for the author but definitely not my last.

Awesome

I am picky about the books I listen to. I could not put it down. The narrator was great, if Kristen Potter is the narrator I will get the book.
