Publisher's summary

An A-List movie star....

Ryan Christensen just wanted to be an actor. Never in his wildest dreams did he imagine a life where fans would chase him, paparazzi would stalk him, and Hollywood studios would want to own him. While filming in Seaport, Rhode Island, Ryan ducks into a neighborhood bar for a quick escape from legions of screaming fans... and finds much more than he expected.

A small-town girl....

Nursing a recent heartbreak, Taryn Mitchell believes men are best kept at a safe distance. But when Ryan Christensen unexpectedly bursts through the front door of her pub, she can’t help but be drawn in by his humor, charm, and undeniable good looks. At six foot two, with dirty blond hair, blue eyes, and an incredible body, Ryan has every girl in Seaport swooning. But Taryn isn’t every other girl.

A relationship that doesn’t follow the script....

Despite her better judgment, Taryn soon finds herself falling hard for Ryan. But is their bond strong enough to survive the tabloid headlines, the relentless paparazzi, and the jealous fans who seem determined to tear them apart?

Enjoyable Fairytale Romance

This could have been a formula romance but is set apart by the amount of detail the author includes. Instead of making the story drag, this makes the story and the characters more interesting. Combined with excellent narration, additional fun characters, and some steamy moments. this romance exceeded my expectations and was definitely worth a credit.

Date and Movie Star, Expect Drama

This was a good story which could have been so much better if the main character wasn't so repetitive in first expressing her wonderful time with her lover and then in the next minute whining and doubting. It often seemed so repetitive because the two main characters would do something wonderful together and then the next minute the female was thrown into doubt. I always go for unabridged books but perhaps that was the problem, the author had to draw it out to make it long enough.

a sweet love story

i know there are a lot of "bad" reviews for this book and everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but honestly? i think they're being harsh. tina reber doesn't claim to be a first-class writer and neither did E.L. James from fifty shades. they were just writing a story that they wanted to tell and i for one loved both stories. maybe that makes me a silly heart, but who cares. sometimes escaping the world around us is the best story of all.

there's sweet romance in this book and it's easy to listen to. the narrator did a great job of pulling me in, since i had already "read" these books before they ever came out on audio (but i'm glad they did!).

if you liked the old movie, Knotting Hill, with julia roberts and hugh grant, you'll love this book. it reminded me a lot of that but had more back story. two thumbs up.

Great Story!

Where does Love Unscripted rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I think this book along with the second book to this one rank in the top 5 books i love. It is so refreshing to read a well written well thought out book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I think ryan is my favorite. A well rounded man is what every girl is looking for. He is kind sexy thoughtful but not a cheesy way. He is real.

Which character – as performed by Madeleine Maby – was your favorite?

Taryn was my favorite.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When ryan and taryn met, It just feels real, You feel that flirty feeling you have when you first meet someone.

Any additional comments?

This book gave me true feelings. The characters were well thought out and developed.

boring at first but It gets better

Is there anything you would change about this book?

cut the first 5 hours down to 1

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

nothing surprising

What aspect of Madeleine Maby’s performance would you have changed?

She was overall okay. It was a little tough to differentiate who was speaking at times since she used the same voice for every woman.

Could you see Love Unscripted being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

no

Any additional comments?

The first 5 hours are slow, juvenile and overall boring. I only made it past them because I fell asleep and the book kept playing overnight. It does get better though and becomes somewhat interesting.

Good story

The characters actually are more like real people than most books. Almost felt like a biography. The section about the neice was really funny. I knew when I saw the length it would be a total history of the characters. I enjoyed this and was happy to find a new author. Looking forward to the next installment. Worth the time and cost/credit.
