Above average

I first read this years ago when it was first released on Kindle. It's actually a good story, only let down by the Mary Sue heroine.

A very long love story...

What did you like best about Love Unscripted? What did you like least?

The story is sweet enough, but it does have a tendency to drag on.

She was just okay - better voices would be required for another listen.

Could you see Love Unscripted being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No. I think it's already been done a thousand times

Nothing like the 50 shades series - doesn't quite give you what you are looking for in a romance.

Too Long

Story spend too much time with Taryn and Ryan not trusting each other. Will not be listening to book 2.

Nice story and characters, predictable but sweet.

Narration was good, easy to listen to, good vocal changes for the various characters. Easy to tell characters apart in conversations. Story line and characters were lovely, if a little predictable, but it kept me wanting more!

I loved this book, so I was anxious to listen to it, as well. Madeleine Maby did a wonderful job of narrating Taryn and Ryan's story!

Cute! Rich, famous, hounded, and in love...

I was in the mood for a nice sweet love story, and this perfectly fit the bill. It was just the right amount of sap at the right moment for me.

When you scan the reviews for this book, two things are repeated over and over.

First, that this feels a lot like that old movie Notting Hill. Second, that it’s bogged down by way, way, WAY too much harping about the evils of the paparazzi who hound the poor, woebegone celebrities.

Both statements are entirely true!

If you’re looking for an easy, relatively low-stress love story, then jump right in! If you’ve seen Notting Hill then you know what sort of story to expect. If you thought it was too slow or had too little plot, then a similar audio about eight times longer probably isn’t your cup of joe. This is not a fast-mover, it’s a slow ride. Whether that’s good or bad is up to you.

I really enjoyed this and will definitely listen to the next book, but not right away. I need a break from the crazy amount of whining about how the lives of all those poor, helpless, giving celebrities are ruined because of the press and the ungrateful public. Author, thy need an editor with an iron whip! Or possibly a weed whacker! Yes, the paparazzi are off the wall, but instead of balancing that theme within the story, the story got a bit bashed with that theme. (And um… If it wasn’t for the interest of the public, does anyone think the celebs would be getting those huge paychecks?) I’m only knocking one star off for that, because I still thought it was a great listen. So now I'm the one harping out of proportion! ;)

The narrator was lovely. I thought she sounded just like Taryn, which is perfect for a first-person narrative. Glad to see she's doing the next book as well!

Recommended for lovers of sweet sappy love stories who don't mind taking their time with a listen. Hollywood gossip lovers may be attracted too, although I'm not and still liked this one quite a bit!

Very, very, very slow story

I liked the characters and the narrator but I guess I am more of an action junky. The relationship develops sooooo slowly that I moved on to another book and did not finish listening to this one. The conflicts preventing the relationship just felt too contrived and drawn out.

Great love story!

I really enjoyed this book! There were twists and turns that kept me listening and interested through the entire book. I even shed a few tears at one point. It isn't your typical poor girl meets rich boy and girl tries to fix boy book. Definitely worth a credit if you like a good love story.
