Not bad, not great

The first half of this book was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the budding relationship between Taryn and Ryan. There was probably too much internal dialogue with Taryn but for the most part she started out pretty level headed in her thoughts. As the instability with the press and fans builds, so does her insecurity. I found everything about this book to be predictable and the end was a bit over the top for me. Still it was a fun, addictive listen.

I would give four out of five.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Tryan. I loved her how intellegent and direct she was.

What about Madeleine Maby’s performance did you like?

the vocals were great

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

A little laughter but nothing extreme.

I have just finished this book and am downloading the next 'love unrehearsed'.

My favourite part about this book was the characters. I enjoyed the character development and at times was laughing along with the conversations between friends. I enjoyed the storyline and am looking forward to finding out more about what happens in the next book.

What i didn't like was the 'paparazzi is bad' agenda of the novel. I felt there could have been a little less of this.
At times I also felt that the reader (listener) wasn't given enough credit and the story was really spelt out so the point the author was trying to make was really obvious. I think the book could have been a little shorter if this wasn't case.
I have read other comments that the book was really long but I didn't mind the length. I like to read a series of books, so it wasn't an issue for me at all.
But they are my only two criticisms and I'm buying the next book as I write - so definitely think it's worth a listen.

Worth listening to!

Love to read or listen to this story! It is one of my go to books and I’m an avid reader. Take a chance it’s worth it.

Could not stop listening

This was an unexpected surprise. I could not stop listening! so much from beginning to end! romance, comedy, drama, and just a sweet, unlikely love story.

My new favorite book

I think I love this more than Christian and Anna. Witty characters and sense of humor. Loved the characters and all their relationships together. Erotic without being explicit.

Would you try another book from Tina Reber and/or Madeleine Maby?

YES I would read anything narrated by Madeline Maby, her voice is so beautiful and expressive. She really pulls you into the story and you feel the emotions each character goes through.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have made Ryan a bit more masculine. When we first meet him he is kind of passive and sweet which is not the type of male character I prefer. He'd be more domineering and less shy. (the shyness is only visible in the beginning of the story but as it unfolds he becomes more and more aggressive which I LOVE)

Have you listened to any of Madeleine Maby’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have read other books by this narrator and I loved them all. It was her voice that caused me to fall in love with audiobooks in the first place. The only problem with that is every time I finish one of her books I'm searching for her same style in other books and I come up short every time. Miss Madeline Maby is one of a kind.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Yes, If this book were made into a movie id see it... When it comes on tv.

Any additional comments?

I thought it was weird how quickly Kyle became infatuated with Teren. That totally threw me off, one moment he wasn't there and then the next he was the whole story. I think this book is so long and so detailed that the reader loses track of what the storyline is in the sense that we forget what the conflict is. What are we waiting for? what's the build up? I think the author threw Kyle in there as a way to "cut to the chase" and give the characters a final problem to fix which brings them together so they can all have a happily ever after.
Also, I feel like at some points Teren plays stupid to the point where I want to jump through the book and choke her myself. Especially at the end when she doesn't realize what Ryan was up to and how naïve she was when the stuff was planted in the hotel room.
And the little spat Ryan and his brother had which caused Teren to get on her future brother in law is very strange. She definitely did not know him long enough to have gone off on him like that, I feel like she should have just kept herself out of it and followed Ryan when he left the first time. (I think I'm just used to the quiet woman and powerful man type stories and Teren is no where near quiet.)
Overall I think this was a great read, I recommend it to anyone looking for a good, long read that will snatch you from your own world and throw you into the lives of Teren Mitchell and Ryan Christianson.

Super Funny!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book to everyone! It was funny and made you think about what celebrities go through doing what they love.

What other book might you compare Love Unscripted to and why?

I compare this author's writing style to Nora Roberts and Donna Kauffman. The level of character development was great and it really made you "see" the characters.

Which character – as performed by Madeleine Maby – was your favorite?

My favorite character was Ryan, he was so troubled by certain aspects of his career but he loved doing what he did so he suffered through it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES YES YES! I lost sleep over this one but it was totally worth it!

Any additional comments?

The only thing I would say that I didn't like was it was a little on the mushy side but that's just my opinion. I'm sure others would find the lovey lovey stuff to be the right amount.

Way tooooo long.

I only listened to this book because I have really enjoyed books read by Madeleine Maybe. It's not that it was terrible but incredibly predictable and really long.

didn't do it for me

I feel a bit weird that I didn't like this book since a lot of people have. I haven't even finished it. The story line was slow, I didn't get the chemistry of the two main characters. I was just waiting and waiting to see if I would like it more, I will finish it however I am not motivated too. bummer.
