Great book

So far I am loving Hannah Howell as an author . Awesome book and the narrator does a great job!

A little silly

I thought Gizelle was an idiot for a lot of the story. Angela Dawe saved it for me with her performance.

Enjoyable

Enjoying and will continue with the series. Some drama no angst. Onto the next. The MMC was great.

What did you love best about Highland Honor?

The obstacles that the couple faces while trying to get to safety. It wasn't too easy for them and it made the story have more depth.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Nigel definitely. You just couldn't help but root for him. In the previous novel he is so sad and all you want is for him to be happy!

Highland Honor

Having read this years ago it was a pleasant journey again. Here is the continuing story of the Murray family. Nigel had fled to France after his brother wedded the one woman Nigel thought he loved. Not to cause discontent within the family he left to become a mercenary for money. Now seven years later he decides to return home. But before he can do that he decides to help a French woman run from her in laws abuse. Gisele was wanted for the murder of her abusive husband. She had tried to disguise her self as a young page but Nigel saw through that. This is their journey back to Scotland and her freedom from the hangman. Did she kill her husband or was she innocent? Can he help without the facts? What happens along the tail back is the adventure. The narrator seems to give Gisele a more masculine voice towards the end and that thru off the telling of the story.

Nigel running from feelings for his brothers wife, Gisele running for her life after being wrongfully accused for her husbands death. What could go wrong? H thinks he is in love with a woman he cannot have and she has been sorely abused and has no room for live or the touch of a man. Can these two find each other as they are chased all the way to Scotland? Such a great story!
Loved every minute and Angela Dawe does a great job narrating.

Bad performance, good novel

It's rare that I'm this distracted by a reader. The pauses between sentences are maddening. Story is good with interesting characters.

Great story but narrative needs improvement

I’m enjoying getting to know the characters in this series. Loved that Nigel found love with Gisselle. My biggest complaint is the narration. It’s painful at times. I’ll keep listening though asbimhookedvon the storyline

I really struggled to finish this one and fast forwarded through some of it. I didn't really care for the characters or story
