Publisher's Summary

Karen Marie Moning's "Fever" series is a coast-to-coast hit! The first two titles in this national best-selling series, Darkfever and Bloodfever, appeared on the New York Times, USA Today, and Publishers Weekly best-seller lists.

In Faefever, Karen Marie Moning returns to the shadowy Dublin Otherworld in an undeniably sexy novel her fans are feverish for.

Changed by the choices she made in order to survive, Mac no longer is the naïve, idealistic, and glamorous girl newly arrived in Dublin. Now, on a quest to find her sister's killer, she is a major player in a deadly game, but with one great advantage: she knows how to find the one thing Fae and human alike are willing to kill for - the Sinsar Dubh, an ancient book of magic so dark it corrupts anyone who touches it.

What Mac soon discovers, however, is worse than she had imagined. Surrounded by treachery, her enemies indistinguishable from her allies, she can be certain of only one thing - as All Hallows' Eve approaches, her time is running out.

If you were already hooked on the series, be prepared to become obsessed. The ending of book 3 is one hell of a cliffhanger.

    "Sookie Stackhouse redo?"

So I really enjoyed this series, however the narrator knows NOTHING about a Georgia accent!! The big complaints I read about her was that she sounded too old. I get that, but she sounds like an older woman from Louisiana! Not all southern accents are the same! :) Also, this might be why the main character Mac, really reminded me of Sookie Stackhouse. She is pretty and blond, and keeps getting caught up with some shady characters. Plus there is the whole Fae angle, too. Plus she's pretty ballsy like Sookie. In the last 2 books, there is a new narrator, who actually sounds like she is from Georgia! Very realistically, too. Even down to what south GA sounds like instead of ATL or North GA. HOWEVER, her male counterpart has really really creepy almost yelling voices for the guys. None of this takes away from a great story, though!

    "Faefever, Part 2"

Faefever is the third book in the Fever quintilogy by Moning. The reader, Joyce Bean does a good job of developing voices for the various characters. MacKayla, the main character, is developing away from her "pink" Southern Belle debutant self. Although little is resolved in this book, it sets up the action for the next two books and establishes important clues and facets of the plot that are not finalized till book five. It is so rich in detail, I also downloaded an ebook so that I would not miss any of the finer points. It is an excellently crafted work.

    "Mac's growing up"

I preferred this book to the first two as Mac is getting some substance to her and the heat is turning up on her and Jericho. Some of the peripheral characters are getting more fleshed out and the plot is slowly building. Sometimes I cannot believe how Mac does not see the obvious. One of the things that kept me in this series is Barrons. I am intrigued by him. This particlar book has some harsh and cruel lessons for Mac and I did feel for her towards teh end.

Again i do not think this narrator does a good job of Mac

    "UGH"

I really hated the narrator for this audiobook. The heavy southern accent ruined the entire story. Actually, I never got into the story. I stopped listening less than halfway through the book.
I would advise either reading it in actual book form, or just skipping it.
I have loved all the other books by Moning, and was really surprised I reacted so badly to this recording.

    "Yes, boring"

Have to agree with Karen that this is a boring book, and goes nowhere. I've listened it for more 3 hours, and had to stop there. "I" just keep meeting different attractive, dominant and self-centered guys (whatever they are), and "I" am always sexually attracted to them. The other female characters are all nuts except "me". Just cannot bear it anymore.

"Enjoyed the 3rd in this Series"

I will be the first to admit that if I had not been able to start listening to the fourth book in this series (DreamFever) immediately I wouldn't have liked this book as much. Maybe it's just me, but this particular cliffhanger ending would have been too much to bear! Thank goodness I didn't start the series until 4 of the books were out! With that said I enjoyed this installment very much. I really appreciate the short inclusions of the McKelters from KMM's Highlander books in this series. I know I wouldn't have gotten near as much from the Dream series if I hadn't listened to the 3 McKelter books first!

"Loved the story, disappointed in narrator"

I thoroughly enjoy all of KMM's stories and this is the first one I picked as an audio book. Did not enjoy the narrator, made Mac sound like a petulant teenager. Luckily, I finished just as the next novel came out, but purchased the book instead of the audio. However, I hear a new female narrator came out for Mac's story in Dreamfever and KMM used the same gentleman that she used for the audio on the Highlander series. If you want to get the audio for the series I would recommend skipping this one, but purchasing the next book Dreamfever in audio. I've heard clips and it sounds wonderful.

    "Faefever"

Loved the book - anything my KMM is wonderful - but sorry - did not like the narration. Find a woman who does a better male voice - she made the main male sound like an old witch....
