Overall good
I really liked the story line about Max and her friends. The only thing I didn’t love was the narrator.. her inflections and the way she talks is just distracting and frankly kind of annoying. Also her pronunciation of “athame” drives me bonkers… it’s spoken like it’s spelled, not “ath-uh-may.” I ended up getting the book so I could finish without having to listen to the audiobook.

One of the best stories ever!
This story was amazing. it evoked so much emotion. I was laughing and then a few minutes later I'm crying. I was able to really identify with the characters and it drew me in.

love the main character's overall sarcasm and sass. Cassandra Parker is the perfect narrator for the series. she brings Max alive with the emotion she uses as she reads!!!

It’s one of my favorite series!
It was really hard to listen to this audiobook; the cadence seemed off the whole time, and the tones/deliver…just not my favorite. I have sensory issues, and powering through listening to this was only possible because I love this series.

Excellent Storyline
At first I had a very hard time with the narration of this set. But once I sped the voice acting up to 1.05, it really helped and allowed me to get absorbed in the world and the story. I highly recommend changing the speed, because this is a very well thought out, complex world, full of interesting characters.
