great plot overrun by sex

in the first few books, the plot was primary and was creative, with enough action and romance throughout to keep me interested. I liked the character development and how the mates worked through to eventually be true mates to each other. There's a lot of male-male sex and intimacy here which I really enjoyed as it is so rare.
however, the last 2-3 books are sex every other scene, fights where a mate nearly dies in every 5th scene, and the plot is saved for the bits between those and the ends. I'm so tired of hearing how hot everyone's backside is! and the story could have been completed by now.

Great relationships & an interesting journey

This box set was really interesting. I love that each of the characters get their own story focus, but it doesn't slow down the overall journey and the goal for the quint. They all have different strengths and that it's not muted by the relationship, but actually encouraged and highlighted. Something else I really enjoyed was that there was a good balance between the steam and slow burn. Not everyone fell for each other all at once. Yes there were some insta-love groupings for sure, but others took much longer to connect and form a bond which stretched the story out a bit letting us have more build up to go along with the suspense/mystery/action story line. The love and respect for each other that develops over this series is fab!

The narration in these books is wonderful! Lia and Gabriel do a fabulous job, Gabriel was great at making each of the male leads so distinct. I did have some confusion in the first bit of book 1 with differentiating Kota and Hawk, but after a few chapters it was easy to hear their individual personalities in the series.

Hot and steamy and sexy and so much more

One Damn good series that is packed with everything that i was looking for. Can't wait to get started on the next installment of the series on my kindle! just wish it was on audible too but all's good

Holy cow this box set was in fire! This was my first book by JL Madore and I loved every minute of it. Amazing characters and storytelling with adventure, drama, steam and all around awesome.#The FlockonTour

On the fence

Ok so, it’s an overall good story, BUT… I hated the way it ended, I feel like we had no closure at the end of the series. I feel so bad for Doc, like seriously, that Kayla stuff pissed me off! I feel like it was left on a cliffhanger, because they got the door opened & now what? That’s it? Infuriating!

Steeeeaaamy!!!

I loved this book. It promised to be steamy but I think they undersold it. This book has been hard to ‘put down’ because I’m listening to it on my iPad and on “Alexa”. I felt that the characters were fully fleshed out (no pun intended). I learned their motivations along the way. Cari’s ‘mates’ had deep hurts that scarred them. But the ‘Phoenix’ is the answer to it all.

I just couldn't with these books

I DON'T write reviews unless I have strong feeling about the book (mostly good), but this one p***ed me off.
So look one of my favorite things about RH is the spice, most of the time I am left feeling that there could be more. In these books there was lots of spiciness, (Which I loved for the scenes themselves) but it distracted from the overall story, because there was so much.

I also didn't like that this is supposed to be a why choose/group love RH kinda deal, and it didn't quite come off that way. It seemed more like 4 males forced into a mating bond with MFC, but it is never really is about her, or the unit as a whole. It feels more like 5 fae EACH having 4 relationships, and most of the time it is 1 on 1 scenes between the men. It's as if they all came together, and said "Everyone has to f*** everyone else for the bond. So long as it's no one else. Go nuts!" (Which I DO admit was sexy, but didn't sit right with me as a RH.)

Lastly the thing that angered me the most is that I didn't like how each diffrent book ended, it just kinda cuts off, like there is no wrap up to the arch of that book (Hell one of them cut off in the middle of a conversation.). So when book 5 it ended in the same fashion that was that for these 5 characters. No story no wrap up at all, they just moved on to the next harem in this universe, and you just get them as side characters now whith no story resolution. I was done after that.

Super cute and funny

It was a great book. It kinda ends on a cliff hanger which is weird and there is so much sexi time. holy moly. Great books so far.

it would have been nice to know there are 10 more books after these 5 so there was alot left up in the air! also if you like porn...these books are for you! 80% of the books are sex scenes
