Publisher's summary

Ding dong, the bells are ringing.

You are cordially invited to the wedding of Jinx and Emory.

Unfortunately, so are the Connection. A shocking arrest throws the guests into disarray and threatens my happily ever after. I think I can calm things down but they quickly go from bad to worse when I’m hauled bodily away from my own wedding.

Betrayed, alone, and furious, I have plenty of time to plot my revenge. They’re not even going to see me coming. Whoever said revenge is a dish best served cold didn’t know a damned thing. Revenge is hot and fiery and I’m going to rain hell on the ones responsible for tearing me away from Emory on our wedding day.

A daemon is stalking the Other Realm, and enough is enough. It’s time to bring him down to the depths of hell where he belongs. Hell hath no fury like a women scorned.

Start running, daemon—I’m coming for you, and Emory is holding my bag.

Burn through this fun, fast-paced, laugh-out-loud mix of urban fantasy and mystery.

This is the seventh book in the Other Realm series. Don't miss this internationally best-selling series if you like humour, heart, a strong heroine, and a slow burn fade-to-black romance.

Thrilling Conclusion to the Court Series

Book 7 opens with the Wedding of the Century, you are cordially invited to the wedding of Jinx and Emory!
It is all set to happen, Jinx and Emory are exchanging vows, everything is beautiful.
And then the Connection arrive, dozens of agents come to arrest Jinx on trumped up charges that she was acting as a fake agent of the Connection when she worked with Stone originally. With Stone dead, and his reports doctored to state that Jinx was not deputised, she is arrested, but rather than being taken back to the Connection to be processed, she is instead whisked away to an Anti-Crea black site. This has been their ploy all along, to separate Emory and Her, so that they can finally get Jinx and torture her. (I should note that anyone who has triggers for torture, suggested sexual assault – should read with care).
Jinx finds herself trapped, isolated, and at the hands of mad-men, hellbent on making the last hours of her life a living nightmare.
I don’t want to give away spoilers, you will have to read it to find out if Jinx escapes.
In the meantime, Emory and the rest of the group are not only desperately trying to find Jinx (Hell hath no fury like a Enraged Dragon Scorned), but there is a Daemon on Earth, causing utter havoc – targeting creatures, and it is only Emory and the gang that can stop it, before it unleashes a terrible toll using the Anti-Crea movement as its tool.
This is quite a dark chapter in the Other Realm series, a lot more adult than the other books in the series, as Jinx is taken to some really dark and nasty places.
With Emory having being removed as the Prime Elite in the previous book, he is already feeling removed from power, and the impact of what happens to Jinx brings him undone. It is a fascinating start to this book as we almost see our two most powerful characters taken out of play and some incredibly powerful players on the other side moving around and taking control, or making dangerous moves. Everything that Emory, Jinx, and even others such as Lucy, and other creatures have begun to build begins to crumble as the Daemon starts to unleash its final plan.
This is Harris at her best, as we see Jinx alone, desperate, and frightened. But this is a dangerous thing, for Jinx does not curl into the corner, she comes out fighting. We get to see a side of Jinx we haven’t seen before though, one in which she is not playing from a hand of strength. We also get to see her allies without her and Emory, having to use their skills, to come together and rally not only to find her, but to protect Emory and all of the creatures.
This is an epic final part to the series, and sees the culmination of several different storylines all coming together.
It continues to be one of the best Urban Fantasy series on the market today, with brilliant characters, stunning world building, thrilling magic and combat, and a storyline that leaves you unable to put the book down. Most of all, it is just a great FUN read, something that a lot of stories have forgotten how to do, Harris has created a magical story that is so good to immerse and lose yourself in.
An absolute must read for anyone who has followed the series, but this series is an absolute MUST READ for anyone who likes any sort of Fantasy/Urban Fantasy.
Alyse Gibbs has the voice of an angel, and is easily one of the most delightful female narrators to listen to. I could happily listen to her non-stop. She has a very clear and concise voice, and does a wonderful job with creating both male and female voices, especially the voice of the main character Jinx. She does a great range of voices to, so that you can clearly tell who is speaking, with distinct male and female characters.
On top of this, she not only narrates, but does a wonderful job of voice acting, adding emotion to each of her characters, bringing them to life, so we know how they are feeling as she tells the story, be it happy, sad, angry, elated, or a good dose of sarcasm from Jinx.
Alyse Gibbs is brilliant and adds something special to these stories, and it is absolutely worth listening to them rather than just reading them, as she really brings Heathers characters to life with that beautiful voice of hers.

I blinked and missed it!

I was almost done this book before I realized how far I was in it. It was that good! I started it and got so lost in it I didn’t even notice. It was a wonderful conclusion to the series with Jinx and Emory’s HAE. I’m hoping the small potential plot points left means more from this series is coming.

An Exciting Conclusion To The Series

I was sad when I realized this was the last book about Jinx! I've thoroughly enjoyed this series. I'm looking forward to listening to the companion series now!

This book was another exciting addition to the adventures of Jinx and Emory. The story was exciting and intriguing the whole way through. The narrator is excellent as usual! I'm sad it's over, but it had a satisfying conclusion (no cliffhangers). This series is definitely worth your audible credits!

The beginning of this book broke my heart. I wanted everything at the beginning of this book to be perfect for Jinx and Emory. Sadly, more chaos happened. I still thoroughly enjoyed all the adventures. They had some tough times. I’m glad they figured out some of the people who could be trusted by the end and the reasons some people made the choices they made. The end was heartwarming.
I really hope for more adventures with Jinx and Emory.
