Wish I had listened to this book when my son was younger!

I’ve read so many parenting books and this is by far the most impactful with my son. I’ve been practicing the Whole Brain approach to parenting, which is awesome, but this meet the hand approach that Joe describes is the missing piece in parenting for us. I have recommended this book to all of my friends and family who have kids.

Insightful and Helpful

Does a great job at describing child developmental stages and the correlation between independence and dependence on others. We want our kids to be interdependent. Acknowledging others will, while also having their own will and autonomy. Key take aways are acknowledging child’s feelings (even if irrational) and setting boundaries for behavior while also showing you love and care for them.

Excellent Book!

I highly Recommend this book for anyone who works with or raising their own lion children!

what every parent needs to read

I wish I read this book 5 years ago just before my first son was born. The concepts introduced are so easy to understand yet seem so foreign. The fact it is read by the author gives meaning and weight to the concepts. Excellent for all new, and seasoned parents.

I am so glad that I listen to it, I even got the paper back to follow along and highlight notes! this is provided me with such an in-depth understanding on how to make sure that I have the healthiest relationship with my daughter as she grows.
