Publisher's summary

A town cook-off has never been so life-or-death.

When it comes to Eastwind's annual cook-off, witch Nora Ashcroft is in it to win it.

It's the perfect opportunity to introduce her delectable queso recipe to the magical town of Eastwind, and she'll do whatever it takes to keep Donovan from beating her.

But after someone tampers with her appetizer, causing a whole gaggle of ghosts to blow in on the breeze, the psychic finds herself with a big, cheesy mess on her hands.

Can Nora find who sabotaged her entry, or will the restaurant owner's reputation be fried to a crisp?

book 4 too cozy for me

While I enjoyed Books 1 thru 3 of Eastwind Witches - book 4 just didn't do it for me - I want to say...for me some of the events felt too staged or to obvious while other situations felt too cozy - if that could be an adjective.
Nora doesn't have enough experience or lessons under her belt to be a witch yet apparently she's powerful as a newly minted witch -
The annual cook-off, Nora wants to win with her queso recipe - the alternate storyline is Donavan's feelings towards her - just didn't grab me - I didn't feel any real angst or real feelings - Hostility I felt through some of the various characters and was believable but had a hard time with absorbing what were attractions when it came to relationships between Nora and her boyfriend and /or Donavan.
