Publisher's summary

Duke Webb has run the most successful bail recovery agency in Atlanta for over 20 years. That's because he has a team of trained, competent hunters backing him up to keep his name feared on the streets. But Duke knows that nothing can go on forever. That's what leads him to start his new training program.

Kellam Knight has studied martial arts under his sensei, Quick, since he was 8 years old. A tossed-out reject from high-society, Kell has a problem fighting on the right side of the law. When Quick offers Kell the opportunity to join Duke's training program, he's all in. Except he's not prepared for the straight, over-confident, extremely disciplined, sexy man Brian has recruited to be his partner.

Tyrell Jenkins' world was flipped upside down when his father never returned home from his last deployment. He'd been Ty's teacher, mentor, his guide to living a righteous life as a good man. When Brian King - his father's most trusted comrade - finally comes to him with the truth, he doesn't come alone. He comes with trained men hidden in the shadows...and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a brotherhood unlike any other.

Contains mature themes.

Great!

First: My deepest condolences to the author for her lose.
Second: I couldn't wait for the audible so I bought the book and it was Great. The background for each character was heart breaking. The two different spiritual cultures coming together so easily was refreshing. I stumbled across this author and I am glad I did. I can't wait for the next books on Duke 's Bond Recovery. Keep them coming

Promises Part 5

This was different than the author’s typical books. I know it’s really special to her. I did struggle through the beginning and had some difficulty liking Ty. If you like books where there’s courting/dating and relationship building without naked time, you should check this one out. For me, I avoid books with religion and this book was a prime reason I avoid it. It was hard to get through the first half because of it.

ENTER THE NEW GENERATION OF BOUNTY HUNTERS

This story is a spinoff of the Bounty Hunter series. It involves younger men as the original bounty hunters, Duke and Quick, are thinking of working in the office and retiring from the field. Enter Ty, Bryan’s lieutenant’s son, and Kellen a politician’s son that was thrown out because he is gay. Ty is a disinherited prince who believes in the African traditions of his father. Kellen is Quick’s protégé and a martial arts master. The two lead the reader into thinking about how the different cultures accepted each other because of the characters’ beliefs. I loved this story and the depiction of acceptance.

The narration is superb and the narrator's voice is one to keep the listener entranced. A powerful voice.

Keep your mind

As fast as I possibly could get this book. The characters are all so solid and not regurgitated. There are no words for how much I learned. This book is aspirational in what love truly is.
Not going to lie, who wouldn't want to be a queen. more to the point I made me see in more ways than one how culture can shock the uninformed.

Intense romance

I love this series! This book was a bit different than the orders. It had more depth to the story and the romance builds up was intense. The characters and their wash of "bounty hunting" was different from the other guys and very effective. I loved the book and wished it didn't have to end. I wanted more of their love story.

Love this entire series!

I loved every book in this series especially this one. Ty and Kell’s relationship was very special. I really loved the religious aspect and it showed that not all religious people are bigoted or ashamed of their sexuality. I’m so glad that Ty didn’t freak out or have any internalized homophobia to deal with, Ty’s father sounds like a great man, I love that he was Brian’s brother in arms and was with him during their captivity. I really hope we get more in this series. The way it ended it seems like we will.
