suspenseful but continues

I liked the story but was a bit disappointed in the ending. I was hoping for more. I will probably buy one more in this series to see how it all ends.

Sweet romance with fast paced action

Nothing I like better than a book that focuses on crack FBI K-9 team. In Guardian Terri Reed introduces us to such a team. I'm not sure who I liked better the human characters or the dogs! What a team! The action in this story was also top notch; capturing my attention from the first line to the last.
The romance was sweet though I prefer my romance with a little more spice! This romance reminded me of those old movies that faded to a breeze gently blowing through an open window just when it got good! However , Terri Reed writes with a definite Christian, abstinence before marriage bent so the sweet, chaste affection is understandable. The Christian undertones are just that - light undertones. Prayers for safety and protection that fit with the suspense of the story. Very relatable!
I did tire of the main character Leo's constant protestations that he was not worthy of Alisha, especially since everything about him screamed he had faith in God's leadership in his life. So why was it so hard to accept that God had led him to his soul-mate?
The voice performance was just perfect for this selection. Callie's voice changes allowed enough distinction between characters, you could easily tell which person was speaking . The pace and tone of her reading clearly added to the suspense and tension in the action scenes. Very well done! It was like sitting in a performance of a live readers theater!
Overall it was a very good audio book selection. I am looking forward to more from this series!

I LOVED this audiobook.

Exciting from the first paragraph. Interest and story never lagged. The writer writes in word pictures. Ofcourse the dog is wonderful and adds another element of interest.
I learned a lot from this book.

I got as far as chapter 5….

My go-to reads are Sandford, Kellerman, Donna Leon, Le Carré, Archer Mayor, Connelly. Tight, eloquent, Interesting. Evident expertise and research. I tried this one as a “recommended for me” freebie. Nice dog. Trite bodice ripper. Bad algorithm.

Kept my interest

Great story. No blood and gore, no bad language, no sex. A wholesome book for people who like mysteries and a little romance. I loved the book.

Jake is missing with him not returning at the end,, you definitely need to follow up with the dog rescued.... very sad,,,,

This needs to end or go to the next book and bring back Jake, you never should leave a book with a Dog lost at the end with no finding. Especially when your a dog lover. It the go that needs the happy ending. .. is there a book with Jake somehow returning to the academy, or just finding his owner.???
You will loose readers if the dog is not found.... most people that read these books regarding dogs such as myself,,,, are very disappointed when a dog is injured, taken, killed....

Was looking for a murder mystery

It’s nothing but a romance book. Yuck. I’m sure it’s good if that’s what you are looking for

Narrator drove me crazy

I had to return this book because the narrator's delivery completely turned me off. She ended almost every sentence on an upward slide, totally eclipsing the story with her speech pattern. She did absolutely no justice to the story.
