A lot of fun!

I am actually one of those few weird people who don’t usually like Paladins but the system and premise that Knight came up with is intriguing and has a lot of depth. I like how the progression works.
I also enjoyed the storytelling and characters. The beginning was painful and sad but Daren’s perseverance and ingenuity is amazing!

Jessica “The Heat” Threet, is an amazing narrator and she gives a great performance with bringing the story and characters to life!

I’m looking forward to the next one. I am thankful for the review gift code.

Great Narration!! Amazing story buttttttt... Is the MC - Superman because he's super OP and kills everything with such easy! one time he's losing he retreats lol but overall great adventure w/ harem highlights !!

Story and Performance

Jessica Threet does not get the recognition she deserves. I’ve been a huge fan of OP MC so this is right up my alley. Amazing listen and amazing performance. Top notch!

great start to a new series. the story was entertaining and different. the narrator was great as always. worth the credit.

Fantastic story. Don't trust the cover art.

You might think this is just a harem adventure. While there are some elements of that in there, this is plot, story, and activion based.

This book would've been great without those aspects, but there's enough to satisfy those that want it, but not so much that it turns away those that want a great everything else.

This book was really good!!! I liked it so much. Marvin knight got one thing right, the mc is a badass paladin. I can't wait to read book 2!. This has to be one of the best books I've read in a while!.


Let's talk about the narrator, Jessica threat truly is a superb narrator, she has so many voices, and she truly performed this book really well. Jessica is also one of the best girl narrators there is. I think she fits this book really well, and I couldn't think of a better narrator. I rate the narration a 5.


Now let's talk about the characters, I actually really like them, the only thing I don't like is, I felt for a while there cassandra was using the mc, it's kind of faded a bit now that I've listened to the whole book. other than that I like all the characters. there written really well, they have depth, and they feel like normal people. I also like the mc, he's op from basically the start and I feel he written good. I like the way he acts, and he seems down to earth even when he does make dumb decisions. i also like him more because he has a awesome sword.
I rate the characters a 4.5.


Now let's talk about the plot, I actually really like it. it has some good foreshadowing that kept the story intriguing and on your toes, it has depth, and there aren't much plot holes, I do think there are some plot holes but not alot. I feel like the plot has depth, and I feel it can blossom into something more in the 2nd book.
Now let's talk about the world building, I feel this is also good, it's not something that's crazy but I do feel like the world is something I haven't really listened to before, and I also feel it has alot of detail, so for that I rate the world building a 4.5/5 & the plot a 5/5.

Now let's talk about the action, I like this also. this book has its fair amount, and I feel like it's really detailed and intriguing. I really liked hearing the mc tear apart his enemy's so that just made it better, something else I like is his build. Dudes a viking. I rate the action a 5/5.


I really liked this book, and I can't wait so see where It goes. I recommend this book to anyone who likes badass vikings and op mcs. The narration is top tier so that just makes the book better. I overall rate this book a 5 star.
